[Q] Thinking about getting a Tab S 10.5 topic

Hello,
I'm thinking about buying a Tab S 10.5 to replace my HP Touchpad.

I recently got a brand new Galaxy S4 phone and was kind of disappointed with the lack of ROM options and that I am limited to using Safestrap as a recovery. Are there similar limitations with the Tab S 10.5 if I were to buy a new one today?

How would you guys compare the 10.5 Tab S to the new Nexus tablet?
