[Q] Using HDMI out topic

Never used HDMI out on android so might be missing something simple. Bought this cable from Monoprice (http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_i...seq=1&format=2) when i connect it to my Samsung TV it shows something is connected to the port, but states "No Signal". I tried using TechFusiin and Cromi-KK (latest of each) and opened Gallery to try and cast pictures or video but no dice. I have also restarted the tablet and TV in various orders.

What do i need to do to make this work? Or should I just return the cable?
