Galaxy Gear Help topic

Has anyone gotten the Galaxy Gear (1) to connect? I followed all the steps on connecting to a Nexus 5 but I can't get past the "connecting" stage. It's connected in the Bluetooth menu but doesn't actually "connect". Any ideas or walkthroughs?
