N5 Radio issue on certain ROM + Kernel combo topic

Hello guys!

I love my Nexus 5, and I've always loved experimenting with different ROMs. I'm having a strange issue with the radio, with the following symptoms:
- The radio works just fine just after booting, but after turning the data off and back on, it just does not come back to life.

I've experienced this with:
- Stock L Developer Preview + Franco Kernel
- OptiPop + Code_Blue Kernel

Flashing the radio doesn't always solve the issue. Is anyone else having the same issue? Is it a ROM + Kernel compatibility issue?
