Backup/restore via adb over usb topic

I read a while back that you can send adb commands directly via usb if so does this mean I can backup/restore my device directly connected to my computer with usb? Just wondering what ip i would give the unit for the software to recognize it when I hook it up.

[Q] Backup/Restore I9515L topic

Hello all.

How can I backup I9515L? I have a Galaxy Ace and I was using CWM. Now with I9515L, should I have to use CWM again? I tried CWM but it doesn't recognizes my phone model. Is there a specific version of CWM?
