[HELP] Clickable phone number links broken, brings up popup topic

For some reason, whenever I click on a clickable phone number link, could be from Google Now as pictured attached or from the Web, it brings up this stupid popup menu that doesn't allow me to dial directly. I tried searching here, I tried going to Default Apps and clearing Contacts, I tried finding out what app needed its data cleared, but I've come up short each time.

If you can help me or point me in the right direction to fix this, I really appreciate it, confused as to what happened for this to be changed and screwed up. Thanks!

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S 5 using the XDA app

[Q] Bypass whatsapp phone number verification topic

Hi,

I have a problem that someone here might be able to help me with. I have recently moved between countries (say from country A to country B). I keep WhatsApp under my phone line in country A, because the vast majority of my contacts use that number to contact me. I still pay a small monthly fee to keep the line. Initially I had no problems with WhatsApp, I simply inserted the new SIM card from country B into the phone I brought from Country A.

However, now I have bought a new phone (Moto X 2013 (=no SD slot) and I am trying to link WhatsApp to my usual number, in country A. Even though I still own that line, I can't receive any SMS/calls from it in country B. Unfortunately, WhatsApp doesn't let me use alternate methods of verification. I am stuck with using my old phone (Galaxy s3 mini) for WhatsApp.

Is there a way to move WhatsApp from my old to my new phone, in a way that no verification is required?

I have the same problem with Telegram, but (unfortunately) my contacts use WhatsApp the most.

Both phones are rooted. The new one has the bootloader unlocked. I am willing to tweak these features if necessary ( I will need proper guidance though, I have never played wit them before).

Thanks

[Q] note4 says at&t but tobile model number sm-n910t topic

my question is pretty straight forward is this a root-able note 4
my phone came in an at&t box i am aware that the note 4 from at&t is not currently root-able
however the tmobile version is and their model number is the same as mine the sm-n910t my phone does not match any of the at&t model numbers which at this point leave me quite confused as i paid out of pocket for my phone w/o a contract i don't want to be stuck with a nice shinny 700$ paper weight.

ps this would be my first time rooting and dealing with a boot loader

thank you in advance for your answer :D

[Q] HTC One x+ IMEI number has disappeared topic

Hi,
I have had an HTC One X+ Tegra 64gb over 3 months which has just been used with wifi for internet. Now when I get round to putting a contract sim card in it shows no signal. The IMEI number will not display, it is "unknown"
I have just paid for an IMEI report which shows it`s identity and history is legit and the numbers tie-up with packaging and sim card tray and phone serial number. The report also says the phone has not been modified/rooted. The bootloader is locked and "S" is on. Is this a dead duck or are there measures I can take to restore an IMEI. by rooting/clearing cache etc?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Generic IMEI (0049.....) and weird Serial number on phone. /efs corrupt topic

Hi guys

So my battery had decided to swell a few days ago in my Note 2 GT-N7100, and suddenly my phone lost network and couple of days later, didn't go beyond the logo screen. I got the new battery (needed to tell my mother that it was NOT my fault that the phone died on me, and she insisted I use the old battery till the day phone dies so couldn't get the new battery before since I had no money and they are pricey stuff) but the problem persisted so I turned to recovery mode, which claimed that my /efs file was missing and could not be loaded. I did not have the slightest clue such a thing existed before this.

I did manage to get my phone running after installing the firmware by Odin and using CWRM to get to root and disabling factory mode, but it seems the IMEI and Serial number are still not right. The IMEI number starts with generic 0049XXXXXXXXXX and the Serial number is 4df7e1b53a26cfcd, which is not same to the S/N given behind the back of my battery. I really need help salvaging this; I want to avoid going to Samsung Customer Care since, well as I mentioned before, my mother has allergy on spending on anything which has 'Tech' written over it, and this will lead to me getting stuck with this phone without being able to really use it. Is there any way out? Please help!
