Failed to gain s-off on my gsm M8 topic

Compared to the at&t M8 I bought my sister I was able to at least use sunshine app for gaining s-off and then finally proceeding to perform the full conversion to the latest 5.0.1 lollipop gpe rom. My case was different, sunshine wouldn't work, and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that I followed the HTC One M7 guide to gaining s-off here :
How to Gain S-OFF on your HTC One (All Models): http://youtu.be/NeFwsqU4YL4

I quickly realized the error and then tried the m8 version of the guide from the same person, and then sunshine just as on my sisters att m8, but then got the message saying it won't work on mine... I then realized I couldn't meet the requirements to perform the full GPE conversion without s-off as required in this guide: How to Convert HTC One M8 to Google Play Edition …: http://youtu.be/WEouT7eV8UA

Thereafter I remembered that this lollipop rom by sky dragon didn't require s-off to flash it.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2706391

I flashed the lollipop rom and everything works fine for the most part, but I have some differences in comparison to my sister's phone with s-off which I also flashed with this sky dragon rom

First off I don't get the Google logo when booting up, I still get the green HTC logo with the white background and it says at the bottom in red something about how this build is for development purposes only and not to be distributed..

Second and maybe the last grippe.. I always notice after waking my phone that the WiFi seems to have deactivated but immediately reappears within 1-3 seconds..

I think that's all for now. If anyone can help me with these two issues I'd appreciate it. Is this all happening because of no s-off? Or maybe because I initially followed the m7 guide for s-off? Or maybe something else entirely?? My sisters phone was att and mine was just unlocked or unbranded... No carrier logos on back. Brand new and sealed too.

ALCATEL ONE TOUCH 7047E: assert failed: apply_patch_check("/custpack/build.prop"... topic

Good day XDA!

I have this Alcatel One Touch 7047E. I did root my device. I try to update the system but below error occurs.

assert failed: apply_patch_check("/custpack/build.prop", "bla bla bla", "bla bla bla")

So I guess that something wrong with the build.prop cause I remember, I made tweaks from it before. So I replaced with the stock build.prop.

Did update again, but same error occur.

Anyone from there who solved/fixed this issue? It would be a great help if someone did and please share.

Thanks.

[Q] Phone system folder wiped after failed cyanogenmod install topic

Alright, this is yet another wiped OS for an HTC ONE M7. I have spent DAYS trying to figure out a solution to this, but nothing has worked... Probably because I don't even know what the next step is.

BOOTLOAD SCREEN **
*** TAMPERED ***
*** UNLOCKED ***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.57.0000
RADIO-4T.28.3218.04
OpenDSP-v32.128.274.0909
OS-6.10.531.9
eMMC-boot 2048 MB
(todays date)

I have tried fastboot flashing the zip files for the OS and it shows this in command prompt.
C:\Users\JamesM\Desktop\adbfastboot\adbfastboot>fa stboot flash zip OS.zip
target reported max download size of 1514139648 bytes
sending 'zip' (1221704 KB)...
OKAY [ 44.790s]
writing 'zip'...
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 44.853s
Basically, the phone was rooted and unlocked and I was installing cyanogenmod on it which failed and I deleted the system folder instead of doing a factory reset on it. It does not get past the HTC screen and I have attempted to flash zip files after attempting relocking and rebootRUU, which have all failed.. I have also tried the .exe RUU files. I am also feeling like there is a definite driver issue, since my computer used to show My HTC in the device manager and now it shows it in "other devices" as "One" and seems to be showing up as a disc drive. There honestly is not much that I can think of at the moment that I have not tried to get this going, youtube videos, hours of looking for similar issues, messing with things on my own to see if there is ANYTHING to do and nothing has worked. I am assuming that it has something to do with it being S-ON, but I have tried to change that with revone and it wouldn't flash through USB. Everything is wiped, but I have my bootloader and recovery... there has to be a way back from here..

Seriously though, if anyone can help me with this that would be amazing. If there is any information needed, I will be around to update. I have installed CWM recovery v6.0.4.3 and also have TWRP v2.6.3.0.

[HELP] Failed Flashing Recovery via Fastboot topic

Hello guys, I have this Desire HD that I got from a family member. It was already S-OFF when I got it. I can't seem to flash a recovery via Fastboot. I already have drivers install, adb commands work just fine and some of the fastboot commands I've tried. It's not the first time attempting to flash a recovery via fastboot. I tried about a month back, failed and resorted to using apps like ROM manager, TWRP manager and 4ext Updater to flash recoveries. They all worked but this time round, I want to try CM12 (Doge Preview) and I can see it's flashed via TWRP 2.8.1 which is an unofficial version and therefore can't be found when using TWRP manager.

I was about to try something using terminal emulator to flash that recovery (usual Samsung way, and I know the file name in the 'block' folder at the root changes), but I thought it would be a wise thing to ask first.

I will attach the results I got using terminal emulator.

Please Help if you can.

Stuck in Download Mode after failed flash attempt. topic

Okay, so I finally decided to ditch AT&T and go full Paranoid (This is not my first flashing attempt with Android devices). Got the latest version, etc. Load into BootStrap and wipe everything. Go to install PA and for some reason I had neglected to tell my build.prop (ro.product.device/name) is supposed to be "jactivelteatt"/"jactivelteuc" and not "SN-M9009". So when I started the flash process, immediate error and now I'm stuck with a phone with no OS or bootloader and can not, for the life of me, find a ROM to flash with .MD5 or .TAR that will work with ODIN. I did find "Oneclick_I537UCUAMF1" that gets all the way to the end and fails. Tried multiple times with multiple cables.

Please if anyone has any idea's, please help.

[Q] swiftkey language pack download failed topic

Hey y'all,

Even though I used to love Swiftkey, they seem to be messing it up with every new update (and their support "takes note of it" and leaves you behind).
So seeing how the people who are getting paid for it can't help me, hopefully the people who aren't getting anything except for my gratitude can (talking about you :) )
For one reason or the other my languages keep giving an error "Download failed - select to try again", when trying again it seems to work but when reopening the Swiftkey Languages setting the same error appears

Anyway,
I've looked around and basically everything I found was basically delete the files relating to Swiftkey in /sdcard/Android/
(all threads I found basically were somewhat a rewording of this one https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-u...language-pack- )

In case it helps:
Phone: Oppo Find 7a
Omni Version: 4.4.4-20141117-fin7-NIGHTLY
Kernel: 3.4.0-g6012e9djenkins@devbox.omnirom.org

Anyone?

Stuck on samsung screen and failed to mount /efs, /cache system... topic

Hello,

I have a galaxy note 2.

I am currently having big issues :
  1. The phone get stuck on samsung galaxy note 2 screen

  2. When I press Start / volume Up and Home, i get to this recovery mode where it says that /efs canno't be mount, same with /cache and /system (if i remember)
E: failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument)
E: failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument)

    #MANUAL MODE #
    --Applying Multi-CSC...
    Applied the CSC-code: unknown
    Successfully applied multi-CSC

  3. I tried wipe / reset to factory option but it not working

For the historic, what I did on this phone :
1. I rooted it with odin CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar.md5
2. Everything was fine during 1 year, then i had issue (phone crashing, settings reseting to default), so i decided to update the rom with the official one N7100XXUFND3_N7100OXAFND3_N7100XXUFND3_HOME.tar.md 5
3. Since yesterday night the phone is stuck on home

I still have a backup of the EFS, i read that i should restore the EFS but I can't do it with ADB because when i type root shell in adb it says : "error : device not found" (I am in download mode though)

Thank you for your help :)
