[Q] Alsamixer load error topic

Dear xda members,
I have been trying to find a fix for the FM radio in CM10 for Nokia X for some time. I came upon suggestions to install alsamixer and redirect sound. I installed alsamixer but I get the following error when starting the app:
amixer: Mixer default load error: Operation not permitted
Please, share your ideas how this can be overcome.

Motorola Razr Maxx XT910, cant load OS, I think its bricked topic

Hello guys,
I feel sad that I wasnt here earlier, maybe I woudnt brick my phone... Anyway here is the problem...
I was trying to root my Motorola Razr Maxx XT910, runing on Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.982.124.14.XT910.Retail.en.EU
I went tru few guides, anyway all of them went me nowhere... I found out that the problem is in locked boot, but idk why no1 said it in all those tutorials.. I decided to give up, and I used RSD lite 6.0 to put again my current OS.
Now my Motorola is stucked on loading screen... I tried with Recovery to wipe Cash and delete data... But nothing help, Its still stucked on loading screen. Please tell me what should I do?

Chromecast will not load any apps when DNS is switched topic

I posted in the ROM thread, but maybe I will get more visibility here, I have 2 CCs and neither will load any apps when my DNS is set to use Unlocator. I've tried the usual tricks and nothing is working. It all worked fine before this latest build

[Q] System process - high cpu load topic

Hello everyone!

I don't know if this is posted in the right thread, but here we go!

I recently rooted my M8 and installed Cyanogenmod 12 (cm-12-20141216-UNOFFICIAL-m8). It runs smooth and I'm pleased overall. I have found some bugs here and there but that's to be expected at this stage. But the one thing that's bugging me is that the battery is getting drained by system process.
It says... Process: System - CPU load 50%
In settings - battery it says "Miscellaneous" at 60%

any ideas? I read some other people that runs the same build and they have 5-6 hours OST.
Ive tried with factory reset and reinstalled cyanogenmod but no luck.

I would appreciate some pointers.. thanks!

Which OTG-Y cable to load the tablet? topic

NVidia is promoting this... let's call it "reverted" OTG-Y... feature. With this you can load the shield tablet while having some OTG device like a controller put in.

However, I have two questions:
1. Does this already work for 4.4.2 or does it require Lollipop?

2. Does anyone have a recommendation for a suitable cable/adapter?
I already have a "normal" OTG-Y cable to power the external device, but I have no idea what I should search for to get this "reverted" OTG-Y cable to power the tablet.

[Q] Huawei Y220 - Every time I load into the home screen I get a "loading" dialog. topic

Bought myself a Huawei Ascend Y220 just yesterday, brand new. Now I installed a few apps, sorted some stuff etc. Set up Skype, Email what not, now I notice when I open whatsapp or browser, skype etc, and press the home screen button, it gives me this little "loading" dialog for ~ 4-5 seconds, does anyone know how to fix this? Should I load a custom ROM? Will loading a custom ROM void my warranty?
