Having trouble trying to root a tablet topic
I've recently been given a tablet by my ISP. I am trying to root it, but I can't seem to find instructions for it, and even worse, I can't find the model.
I've googled a bit, but I'm not sure if there is a way to manually root it and succeed. I'm only used to rooting my Galaxy Nexus which is a lot simpler.
As for the tablet and it's model/specs, all I've managed to find is a mention of it being a ZTE E8QP on the "instructions" manual, but Googling that gives me nothing. I also did a "fastboot devices", and there I found it is using a Mediatek MT6582, according to the name mentioned there.
You can also find the tablet's page here, but it only lists the specs basically.
I'm really desperate to get root, as for some reason the Settings app came with the Users menu hidden and is in Phone mode, and I would like to have multiple users on this tablet. Among other things, rooting seems like a good start.

[Q] Having trouble updating to Lollipop topic
I wonder if anyone can help.
My Nexus 4 had updated itself happily to Lollipop 5.0 and it was working nicely, except that when the 5.0.1 update arrived it showed the android on its back with a red "!" so I assumed it was due to the phone being rooted and unlocked (although 5.0 had installed without any problem).
I have since upgraded to a OnePlus One so I decided to wipe the Nexus, unroot and re-lock it in preparation for selling it so I used Nexus Root Toolkit (my regular rooting tool) to do all of that. I tried loading 5.0.1 through it and it installed but couldn't see my Wi-Fi, although it did see someone else's. After trying a couple of times I tried 5.0 and that was the same so eventually I tried 4.4.4 and that was successful.
The plan was to leave it plugged in and charging so that it would automatically receive the Lollipop updates but it's been a week now with me regularly pressing the 'check for update' button but there is no sign of them.
I don't think there is any other way to force the updates but can you think of anything that might be stopping them? Nexus Root Toolkit downloaded the images from Google so presumably they're OK, the play store loaded and updated my apps, the time updates when I press 'check for update' yet no O/S updates appear. I can't sell it if it's not updating itself so any help would be much appreciated. It couldn't be because I have OEM locked it could it? I can't remember if it was unlocked when I got it but it made sense to do it.

[Q] Trouble with WLAN on N7105 topic
Hi,
i´m running a N7105 with german T-Mobile-build ROM 4.4.2 with baseband N7105XXUFND3.
One weired thing: Sometimes the Wlan-sign on the top right disappear and in the control Panel Wlan is simply unlighted. It can´t be turned off or on anymore - but WLAN itself keeps on running and can be used.
It means the phone "thinks" WLAN is disabled - but in fact it´s still running.
Sometimes after some time suddenly the Symbol Comes back and then the control bar will work too.
Someone else face that behaviour? Is there a Workaround for this?
My phone is rooted with Ghettoroot because this way won´t trip KNOX.

Trouble deleting stock system apps (Apps reappering after restart) topic
Hi
I tried deleting my system apps such as dot view, fitbit, kid mode.... Whenever I restart my phone back it will be there itself.
I used Titanium Backup and uninstaller, both did the same thing.

[Q] Samsung Galaxt S5 (Sprint) Trouble rooting topic
I've never rooted a phone before and was curious to get CM11 on my Galaxy S5. Since the installer isn't compatible with the S5, I figured I'd try rooting it. When I first got the phone I tried it (back in April) and it didn't work so I forgot about it and didn't try again until the other day. I looked it up on youtube and followed the instructions to the letter not missing a thing. Like I said earlier, I don't know much about rooting so the first time I tried I could have easily messed it up. Anyways, I downloaded what the video said, went through it step-by-step not missing anything and when I went to boot it up after doing whatever I was doing in Odin, unlike the guy in the video whose phone loaded up the Samsung Loading screen that had no text on the top left, mine did. I waited for a minute before retrying, following it to the letter and it did it again, so I looked in the comments. Some others were having problems and said they had to get the original ROM and do it from that to get the phone to boot. I did that, phone booted fine and here I am without a rooted phone and with no CM11.
I'm asking what I did wrong/what's going on with my phone/why can't I root it/am I just an idiot?

Trouble sideloading XBMC to Fire Stick topic
Hello all. I'm trying to install xbmc to a fire tv stick. I have successfully done this with a fire tv. I don't know what's going on with the stick.
I can connect to the stick in the adbfire app and I can ping the stick via the command prompt.
I keep getting this error in the command prompt :
*daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
*daemon started successfully *
error : device not found
- waiting for device -
Any ideas?
Please help!
Thanks ahead of time!

[Q] Novice having trouble rooting a Samsung Young S6310 topic
Hi all
Sorry to be asking such basic questions but I have followed various guides on how to root my Samsung S6310 and I always get to a certain point and can get no further.
I am by no means a tech expert so if you could reply as basically as possible I'd appreciate it.
I get to a point where I have copied a file onto the SD card in my phone, I then reboot the phone in recovery mode and try to select the 'upgrade from sd card' option but all I get is a picture of the android logo with a red cross on him and i can't get any further.
It doesn't matter which file I try to do this with which is why I've not listed any particular file as an example. I never get to a point where I can choose a file from the sd card.
I've made sure the tick is in the box for allowing apps from other sources and also the tick is in the box for the debugging in the developer section of the menu.
Am I making a stupid error somewhere?
What does the android symbol with the cross mean?
Appreciate any help.
