How can I get native SD card mount support on any rom like SlimKat has? topic
I own this thing pictured below this message..
It, and other adapters like it work with a cheezy, sketchy, chinese app that allow you to browse files on the sd card. The OS will not read the card natively. I refuse to use the app. Bleh.
When I was on Stock, rooted, it wouldn't mount the card. I figured it didn't work with the N5 natively.
I eventually switched to SlimKat and it supported this adapter (and likely others like it) easily. Plug it in, the sd card would show up in any file manager.
Then I switched to Rastapop, not supported. I'm going to Catalysm as soon as the next build is stable. I have a feeling I can do or flash something to make this just work on any rom. I've tried different kernels after reading that it was a kernel thing. No help.
What gives?

Things I don't want to do, and that weren't needed on SlimKat:
• Will not instal crappy apps that allow me to view the contents, i want to use any file manager, particularly Solid Explorer
• Will not install StickMount - tried it, not a fan, I want native support
• Will not install "Nexus Media Importer" app
