Nokia X2: Rooting & Installing Google Play Store after upgrading Nokia X2 to 2.1.0.12 topic

Rooting and Installing Google Play Store after upgrading Nokia X2 to 2.1.0.12.

Did this right after upgrading to v2.1.0.12 with nothing else installed.
Upgraded to v2.1.0.12 using the Lumia/Nokia Software Recovery tool.

NOTE: Disable any Anti-Virus installed on the machine before running this.
Though it did not report any malicius code, on running it with turned On gave errors regarding running ADB daemon.
(I use Avast Anti-Virus)

1. Download Nokia x2 tools from the given link .

http://allnokia.ru/soft/moreinfo-115.htm

2. Enable developer mode and USB debugging on the phone:

To activate the developer mode go to Settings - About phone, and tap 5 times to "Software version".

To activate USB debugging go to Settings - Developer options - USB debugging.

3. Connect phone to PC with USB cable and run Nokia X tools v1.2.

4. First install the drivers typing 1 (i.e. "1 - Install Drivers for Nokia X2") and press enter.
After drivers are successfully installed reboot phone and also reboot PC.

5. Again connect the phone to PC and make sure it is in developer mode and USB debugging is enabled.

Enable root access by typing 4 (i.e. 4 - Gain Root-access (SuperSU 2.02)) and press enter.
Press enter if it ask if drivers are installed.
Note the instructions given after Root Access is successfully enabled.
Reboot phone and run the SuperUSer App as per the instructions noted in the command prompt.

6. Install Google Play Services by typing 2 (i.e 2 - Install GOOGLE PLAY + Services) and press enter.
Press enter if it ask if drivers are installed.
Reboot phone after Google Play Services is successfully installed.

[Q] Upgrading CM 11S Indian OnePlus One? topic

Hello,

I am having the Indian OnePlus One, which DOES NOT get OTA updates. How should I about upgrading to the latest official build of CM 11S, without having to wipe everything?

upgrading to prerooted stock images. topic

So I was having a little insomniac theater and decided to upgrade one of my fire tv' s. and install clockwork mod and bootmenu.
I was on version. 51.1.1.0 and I was required to go to 51.1.0.2 with my stock recovery which went fine.
I then unlocked the bootloader and installed clockworkmod. success
I then installed bootmenu. success
I then read that you must go to 51.1.4.0 before getting to my final destination of 5.1.4.1. and then I read the following

"Starting with 51.1.4.1, these require FireTV Boot Menu. For the time being, you must update to 51.1.4.0 before updating to 51.1.4.1. Also, if you flashed 51.1.4.0, you must flash bootmenu afterwards. If you are already on 51.1.4.0, then you just need to flash bootmenu."

Its the flashing of bootmenu after 51.1.4.0 is installed that has me concerned. I obviously am still on 51.1.02 with bootmenu installed. Should I uninstall bootmenu before upgrading to 5.1.4.0?

Strange touch problem after upgrading my lg g2 topic

Hello Experts,

I am facing quite odd problem, please help me.

I have LG G2 D802. My software version was d80220b while when I attached my mobile with pc, pc suite notify me that d80220c is available. I upgraded. But after upgrading, touch is totally out of work. Say like below, I tap "7" & it goes to 2, 3 etc. I select say first option, it selects 4th option.

Also, one more thing, my mobile is 32gb variant, while now it's showing only 10.8gb

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
a b c

I think it's due to some rom issue, can you please guide me or send me link for the correct ROM for my mobile?

Waiting anxiously

Thanks

[Q] I'm stuck at Boot image after upgrading to Brazil OTA 5.0 on XT1033 MOTO G topic

Let me explain my problem clearly----

I followed instructions mentioned on this thread completely and successfully installed 5.0 :D
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...l-5-0-t2964274

After that I rooted it. :)
After that i restarted and saw that "Unlocked Bootloader" message was still there. It was annoying.
So this is the step that i did wrong and i accept it. :crying: I flashed the boot.img file of moto g gpe xt1032 just to get Google Symbol at Boot
It went into Boot Loop and continuous restarts and directly getting into recovery. :(
I solved the restarting problem by reflashing the 4.4.4 Stock Retail Brazil Firmware and skipping the motoboot.img and boot.img files this time. But....... :(
And Now I'm stuck at boot image!!

Although I still have access to Bootloader and ADB Recovery.
Any Help to resolve this situation will be deeply appreciated!!
I'm ready to install any ROM with dual sim functionality.

Thanks in Advance!! :)

[Q] Upgrading rooted & CWM 4.4.4 to OTA 5.0.1 - problems? topic

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I've searched and found lots of info, but nothing that seems to address my question directly.

I have a 32 GB Google Nexus 10 running Android 4.4.4. I have an ota version of 5.0.1 Lollipop waiting to be installed. My 10 is rooted and has ClockworkMod 6.0.4.3 recovery, but no custom ROM as yet. Can I directly run the install to 5.0.1 and preserve my rooted state and CWM, or should I go back to plain vanilla factory, install 5.0.1, and then reroot and install a new recovery app?

The change from Dalvik to ART also has me a bit worried and I wonder how widespread the effects will be.

For that matter, I seem to see a lot of people having problems with 5.0 and 5.1, but don't know what other mods or flash installs were being used or what their pre-update configs were, so I don't know if it is wise or not to simply upgrade my existing configuration, restore to factory first, or to ignore the upgrade and stay with KitKat.

Any advice?
