I'm trying to play music over a Bluetooth speaker while recording my kids dancing to the music. I haven't found a video recording app that won't shut off whatever music app I'm usingwhen I start recording.

Stereo recording when capturing video topic
Although the Nexus 6 has 3 microphones (one built in the bottom speaker hole, one on the back plate close to the Micro USB port, and one next to the back camera lens), it looks like audio is always recorded as mono when shooting a video. Furthermore, the audio is always captured from the front mic in the speaker hole, which means that it takes the sound from the opposite side of the camera lens.
I've also tried with other camera apps (such as Cinema FV-5 which allows to select between mono and stereo audio) but the audio is recorded mono anyway.
I've then checked the file media_profiles.xml in /system/etc/ and found out that basically all different resolutions had channels="1" , which means that only one (mono) audio channel is recorded.
I've tried to change channels="2" and rebooted but still all audio was recorder as mono and from from the from mic instead of the rear mics.
Any ideas on how to get stereo audio recording?

[Q] Lux level recording app topic
Hi everyone
I'm in search of an app that could record light lux level at a very fast rate, let's say every 0.1 seconds.
Should show list of measurements on screen and save to txt or csv ascii file, better with a timestamp beside.
Total recording time needed is few seconds, so file size / screen clutter not an issue.
Something like this
17:52:59.9 ............. 200 lx
17:53:00.0 ............. 205 lx
17:53:00.1 .............. 202 lx
...
I tried this

Instant Switching Dual Camera Recording? topic
I know that iPhone have this feature. User can instantly switching between front and rear camera to record video. Don't get confuse with dual camera mode, which records video on one file with thumbnail within. A friend of mine was wondering if the Note 3 have this feature or not. I tried to google around but it seems to me that this feature does not exist at all. Can a user on Note 3 record a video via rear camera and instantly switch to front camera and record video? Does anyone know if there is some sort of app to do that? Thanks in advance.

Google now anywhere and video recording topic
So I just noticed that if I have google now from any screen enabled, I cannot record videos. They just crash when I press record. When I turn off google know from any screen it records fine..anyone have similar problems solutions?

Currently I am with the ROM Stock B136, and wanted to ask if as was the case with the Samsung Galaxy SII, you may make from the phone itself, to record calls. I found that modifying the build.prop "ro.config.hw_voicerecord = true" Now I get that option appears on the menu during the performance of the call; but an error message appears. Missing files include libraries or change phone applications and agenda? Thank you

I wonder that nobody else asked this, at least i couldn't find something helpful on Google. Just prove me wrong if i am.
Is it possible to record audio, which is going through soundcard ? Mic quality is poor and i just want to record a part of a song, for instant buttons :D

Video recording without audio, why? topic
Something very strange happened today.
I was home, waiting to go to a show. Video recorder was setup at 640 x 480 to save memory space, I tested recording and everything was OK, recording both video and audio as expected.
Went to the show, did a number of recordings, ranging from 12 to 300+ megabytes.
Came back home, no recording had audio! Plain video, no sound.
Tried again home to record a new video, and again everything was regular, with proper sound.
So, I've lost some amazing music, and can't understand why.
Do you have any hint? What happened to my note 4?
