[Q] Xperia P led bar brightness topic

Hello,

I know this has been discussed often but I searched for hours and didn't find a final solution for my problem.

First of all, I'm on a custom rom (Phoenix Ultimate V2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...ashes-t2842899) with a custom kernel (Nemesis 6.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...-21-2-t2214141) but my problem does occur in every JellyBean rom and custom kernel, even in stock rom/kernel combination)

Is there any way to increase (yes, I want them brighter!) the brightness of the leds in the transparent bar at the bottom of the phone?

Changing values in sys/class/leds/.. to 255 does only help for a few seconds because they just get overwritten by the autobrightness or if the screen gets turned off.
The main reason is that my leds are very dim, almost not visible at night. A friend of mine got the same phone, same rom and kernel combination but he does not have the low brightness problem (I guess there are different hardware versions, I have a red one and he's got the black one)

The leds are bright when the kernel is booting and in recovery mode, but they get dimmed when the system booted up and IlluminationFix.apk (in custom roms) starts.

Any suggestions?
It really annoys me that I can't fix that.

[Q] Galaxy Note Edge Tmobile. Brightness Issue/Overheating topic

Just got my Note Edge 2 days ago and when comparing the screen brightness (at max/no auto) it is much dimmer than our note 4. now I am not talking about the super bright setting that occurs when its on auto and outside but instead indoors. I also have been seeing a message in the display brightness settings "UNABLE TO INCREASE THE BRIGHTNESS FURTHER. THE DEVICE IS OVERHEATING" Could this be due to a faulty battery or something else? This is my only complaint with this phone but its a big one especially if i'm receiving this message. Should I return to Tmobile or is it most likely a software glitch. It is very cold where I am at so it has not been out in the sun or plugged in too long. minor use has led to this overheating message usually only seen in the summertime when in the car too long

Control screen brightness at topic

This annoys me a lot. Once you hit 5% battery, it auto dims to below regular minimum brightness and removes your ability to adjust it.

Any way I can disable this "feature"?

Pink Tint and Brightness. topic

Hey guys, just got my nexus 6 yesterday and I noticed I have the pink tint issue only when I'm using adaptive brightness, its not a big deal for me but once kernels get gamma control support would we be able to fix this issue? just curious if its fully a hardware problem or software.

Also I don't if this has been answered already but why does the brightness go so much lower when adaptive brightness is on?

Any insight would be great, thanks!

Can I change system-wide brightness levels? topic

I have a Nexus 4 unit that has what I presume is a hardware issue.

The brightness on my device can go below normal. And turn off the backlight completely. (Rendering the phone unusable). This happens when turning the slider to the lowest setting. The screen goes pitch black. And I can only turn it back on because I can get my way around the new status bar toggles and switch it back on.

In KitKat I used to tweak the minimum brightness setting with GravityBox to 10 (in a scale to 255).which the brightness slider, system toggles and battery saver settings seem to move down to 0.

Does anyone know can I reproduce this tweak in lollipop?.

I don't have a lot of experience tweaking system files but I can find my own way around it if pointed in the right direction

I've already tried root apps, build.prop edits and they sadly, don't work.

Thanks in advance.
