[Q] Battery question . topic

Hi guys
I want to change my galaxy s4 I9505's battery .
I found a great deal to buy a 2600 original samsung battery BUT , the problem is that :
All the notes on the battery are the same as mine beside this :

11,78 Wh - new battery
9,88 Wh - my battery .
--------------------------
Charge voltage limiting 4,35V - new battery
Charge voltage limiting 3,8V - my battery .

Will it work with these things different from my battery ?
What does 11,78 Wh mean ?

Thanks alot ! ^^

[Q] Dead battery, no charging, no warning, no vibrating,.... topic

Dear xda

On the 23th of December my phone ran out of battery % . So it was at 0%. I couldn't charge it until the day after. On the 24th when i put the phone in the original wall charger, It gave me the warning that I had to let it charge for a while before power on. I left it alone for about two hours, after that I pulled it out to see if it turned on, because I needed my phone, but nothing came out of it, I plugged it back in, and still nothing, not even a vibrate nor the warning message of the low battery level...

The phone was dead to my concern after Goolging a little and looking into the forums, I saw two persons with the same issue as me.

The first person () solved it leaving it 24h for nothing so the battery could rest for a while and yesterday evening (after leaving it for +- 25h)I plugged it in but nothing showed up, not even the warning message, as mentioned before, but with still good hope I left the phone charge overnight, but this morning, still nothing out of the phone.

The second person (https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/o...-solved.41777/) I was talking about had a more drastic solution, he opened up his phone, unscrewed the motherboard plate, disconnected the battery and reconnected it. This morning I was prepared to do it, but when I removed the back cover of my phone I saw the screws, but also the sticker and the rubbers (with behind them I assume more screws?), but since you first have to remove the rubbers and the sticker to unscrew those screws I am affraid I will lose warranty....

Can you please help me out, because I would love to use my beloved Oneplus again.
Do you have other possible solutions/fixes? Can I remove the sticker and the rubbers WITHOUT LOSING WARRANTY?

Sincerely Greetings

Bjorn Derudder
A proud member of the OnePlus Family!

P.S. : My phone is Rooted, Unlocked and has Stock CM12 (but I don't see any problems here because, that does not void any warranty ;) ), but nothing special was flashed or done to the phone right before the problems showed up, I mostly think of a faulty battery, or dead battery.

I posted this also on oneplus forums, but more help is alwaya appreciated ;)

When my battery level reaches about 21% or 22% it would jump to 15% then would quickly drain to 11%. Is that normal?

weird battery percentage topic

I've recently flashed v20h kdz with lg flash tool 2014 and the problems began. When i plug in the charger the battery level stays the same, I have to reboot the phone to display the correct percentage. While using it, the percentage doesn't modify untill I turn the screen off and let it for a time.I 've downgraded to 4.2.2 and it keeps happening. Solutions? My phone is 1 month old.

Battery saving apps topic

There are plenty of apps which supposedly save battery life majorly by real-time optimizations. The most popular seems to be Battery Doctor and Clean Master which also have very high ratings on Google Play. Does anybody use them? What's your experience on their battery impact? Do they really make any difference?

S4 Mini overheat and battery drain after KitKat Update topic

Hi all.
I am a new user of this community.
I am looking for a fix to my troubles.

Two weeks ago I updated my s4 mini to KitKat via OTA.
My Galaxy was TOTALLY officially, no custom rom, no recovery, no root... so i updated in the "classic" way.

From that day my smartphone drains battery really, really, fast and becomes really hot.
I am talking about 50° celsius when i only browse internet or use whatsapp to send message, and in the same time the battery drains fastly.

I rooted the phone, look to wakelock, look to process that could drain it, i made two factory reset, flash via Odin to the Italy Stock 4.4.2 (before it has got the English firmware version), buy a new battery, use different charger, calibrate it by app, calibrate it with the non-root method... but the problem persist.

I have got GPS off, Wifi OFF, NFC Off, S-Beam Off, Bluethoot Off... i only use internet via GSM or UMTS, no LTE.
To browse I use Opera Mini, but it's the same thing with Chrome.

I don't know what to do, i don't think it's an app problem, and it's impossibile that is by hardware, because with Jeally Bean the smartphone goes great.

I am actually trying Coolify after try Battery Doctor and a lot of other apps, like Gsam Battery, Greenify, Battery Calibrate ecc...

I've attacched some screenshot here. How can you see by the battery graph the battery drains like there's not a tomorrow in same time :crying:

ps: sorry for my english, how can you see by the screenshot i am italian.

Battery sloooooowly charging topic

I have a none rooted Nexus 10. Just recently updated it to 5.0.1 from 4.4.4. Ever since the update the battery barely chargers. For example, last night the battery was completely dead, so I threw it on the charger. After about 6 hours of charging, it went from 0% to 29%. I know that the charger itself is fine, I used to use it as my charger for my Nexus 5 and it never slow charged it like this. Could this be an issue from the update? I've attached a pic of the battery status.

Tablet battery Draining drastically without use topic

For the last couple of weeks my tablet battery has been draining on its own. I unplugged it after a full charge and never once touched it to use it and about 14.5 hours later was at 3%. It seems to be going down around 7% an hour without use.
  • I have location services off

  • did a factory reset

When I go look at the battery stats it shows Android OS as the top one with about 61%.

Any suggestions? My tablet is almost useless now unless its plugged in or I turn it off every-time I put it down.

Thank you.

Help with Battery Usage dboxed_process4 topic

Hi,
I'm trying to find out what is using my battery. I left my phone off chager for 13 hours after a full charge with no usage and in 13.5 hours I've used 40%. There are three processes using 50%:
dboxed_process4: 24.4%
bluetooth share: 18.3%
system (mediaserver): 6.7%

While it was on charger, I was using pandora so I assume the second and third items are related to that. I can't find anything on the first. I'm using GSAM Battery Monitor Pro. Phone is not rooted. I'm sure the battery is related to an app as I was getting about 1% an hour on standby when I have very few apps installed. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

[Q] Inconsistent and Incorrect Battery Reading topic

I've just gotten a used Droid 4 as an emergency replacement phone. When I got it, I did a factory reset, and then flashed the latest Verizon Jellybean firmware. Then, I rooted it and installed SafeStrap recovery. In a rom slot 1, I've installed Paranoid Android 4.4, and left stock slot alone.

Basically, when the phone is powered down and plugged into a power source, the battery reading there is different than that reported by both safestrap recovery AND my 4.4 OS. It read 70%. I immediately booted to recovery, where the battery reading was 50%. From there I immediately booted to Android 4.4, which reported around 30%.

While using 4.4, battery will sporadically drop 20% instantly, but I know it's not accurate, as it hit 0% but continued to function for up to twenty minutes. Android's battery reading is lower than the actual value.

When my recovery reported around 30% battery, I powered it off and plugged it into a power source immediately, where it then read 60%. When I booted from there to my stock 4.1 slot, Android reported 60% there as well, which led me to believe my SafeStrap recovery was also reporting the incorrect battery (which itself was different from 4.4).

I'm trying to use 4.4 as my primary OS but now I have really no definite way of knowing my true battery level at any moment. How can I fix this?

[Q] Battery not only usable on System(Android) topic

May have some bad English.
* I have battery which is white and black colored.
* After I all used black colored battery, I changed to white colored battery.
While on white battery, the screen turned on for about 5 seconds, booting, and then it just turned off.(I do not know whether it is turned-off or screen-off)
* I booted into recovery and it's screen or battery worked fine.
I do not understand why is this problem happening. I searched some on google, it suggested battery corrupt or to factory reset with recovery.
However, I've already got reset and installed several roms. And I don't understand if it is the battery corrupt why it is still usable on recovery?

Thank you.(Merry Christmas)
