Ok I am not sure how to ask this question so I will explain exactly what I want to do and why I'd like to do it if possible. I have an iReadyGo Much G2 android phone and it is running Android 4.2 but I really want an Android Wear watch which requires 4.3. I don't expect this phone to receive an update anytime soon so I want to know if it would be possible to develop a ROM to bring this phone up to speed and put Android 4.3 on it.

[Q] Is NeoMAD the real solution for cross platform development? topic
I have an HTML 5 app built with Sencha Touch + Cordova. The app works ok and is already in production, but I want more in terms of performance for the future, so I'm thinking about rewriting it in another framework.
On propertycross.com some of the most used cross-platform frameworks have been compared... I went through all of them and for me the winner is with no doubt NoMAD. The approach seems the right one: write in one language (Java) and have the native app generated for each platform.
I saw no difference in terms of performance between the native one and the one built with NoMAD, also the app was only a bit larger (1.2 the native one, 1.9 the one built with NoMAD), with Titanium and Xamarin I get an app 10 times bigger, not to mention the increased startup time.
By doing some research on the web though, NoMAD doesn't seem much used... on stackoverflow I get only 5 questions with the nomad tag.
So why so few people use this framework? Seems to me the perfect one... Does anyone have any experience with it?

[Q] [i9515] Android development topic
I have seen that there isn't a specific thread for the value edition s4 i9515. Devs are already working at a cm11 port
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...i9515-t2974148
Is it possible to open a specific development thread for this recent version and give it more visibility?

Development request to Samsung for 900H topic

The mail is below.

Quote:
Priority : HIGH Dear Samsung Dev Team, Today I am writing as a Galaxy S5 SM-G900H users community. We have bought your flagship phone Galaxy S5 as to enjoy it to full extent. Its an amazing phone with great camera. But we feel lack of support for 900H model (Exynos variant). International variant G900F has been proved to be a good phone with LTE and some other features that our phone lacks. Now you must be thinking that why we are saying that 900F is better than 900H as both are Galaxy S5 variants. This is only because you made us think like this. You only support Galaxy S5 900F variant (Snapdragon) than our 900H (Exynos variant). Now latest android version 5.0 Lollipop has arrived for 900F variant but not for our 900H. Secondly why don't you upload latest kernel sources to your website as many latest updates have been arrived for our variant. The current latest build released is (build G900HXXU1ANK1). But on you opensource website (link mentioned below) the last uploaded sources are (for build G900HXXU1ANG3) which is more than 6 months older as of now. After that build 4-5 new versions have been released but no sources have been uploaded from your end. Android is an open source project. When you are using its sources to build your ROM and kernel then you are supposed to share the sources with us. But you are being smart by not sharing your sources with us. Beside Samsung all other manufacturers (Sony, HTC, LG, etc.) upload their latest sources on their websites so that they can be used for further development. I feel like being fool buying Samsung's flagship phone with lack of development and support. Please furnish below details as soon as possible & give the us approximate date for releasing or this will be our last device from Samsung. Many users have already switched to Nexus, HTC and Sony sue to less development. 1. Latest kernel sources for 900H variant (Link : http://opensource.samsung.com/recept...archValue=900h) 2. Android Lollipop v5 for 900H PS: This mail will be shared on google+ community, XDA forum and other android development communities. Your positive reply is awaited. Regards, S S Sidhu Delhi, India |

[Q] Grails is the best for rapid web application development, isn't it? topic
The two reasons why you should choose Grails are :
- Rapid web development: It can help us achieve productivity benefits similar to Rails or Django but without leaving JVM and Java knowledge.
- Powered by proven technologies: Grails underneath uses Spring and Hibernate to power web applications. It can be considered as syntactic sugar over these technologies.
