This vs other budget tablets topic

Is this better then the nexus 7 2013? I ended up getting this mainly for playing clash of clans but the game feels a bit choppy, not unplayable but not as smooth as on my note 3. Other games seem to be running good.
But I absolutely hate the 1gb of ram, multitasking sucks big time.
Nexus 7 2nd generation costs much more here in Romania, and other tabs didn't seem decent at this price.
I was wondering how the LG G pad 7 runs.

What is this icon? topic

I have this icon on the extreme left of my notification bar but don't know what it is. If I pull down the notification bar it disappears so I cannot click on it to see what it is.

It is the one that looks like a cross on a white background, just left of the "31" date. Does anyone recognize it?

I have an HP laptop running Windows 7 pro. This laptop supports a virtual machine which I have XP running presently. I am wondering, is there a Linux that I could run as a virtual machine on this laptop?
if possible, I would prefer to do that than set up another PC.

Never seen this before. topic

My Verizon XT912 has done some strange things over the last few days. Firstly, when we went in to upgrade another phone, my service was interrupted about every 10 seconds or so, switching between 4g to 3g to no service and the only way to get it back was to restart the phone. Even then, the phone would only get signal for a few minutes, ultimately resulting in no service. Now, even on the stock rom, will not display a signal in an area where all of our other phones display full 4g signal (I have the triangle outline with the crossed circle) and the phone restarts when any app is selected, or even when left alone. I personally think something failed on the motherboard. What do you think?

Is there any useful DD rom for this phone? topic

My wife has a razr M running FXZ 182. I've de-bloated it as much as possible and it still runs like garbage. Her phone will randomly reboot throughout the day, sometimes it won't answer calls, when she charges it it gets very hot, the camera sometimes crashes too. Overall it's a pretty terrible phone. She really wants a Nexus 5 like I have but we can't afford it right now.

Are there any daily driver roms that just work, I don't care about fancy features or even latest android (although it would be nice). She just needs something that doesn't rape the battery, will snap a photo once and a while and take/make calls.

Can't boot into recovery. any idea if this can be fixed? topic

I tried to root my Opo, but it started to go wrong after i flashed it. It went to reboot into TWRP, but all that happened was it crashed. the 1+ logo comes on and then the screen goes blank. This Happens all the time when I try a "fastboot oem unlock", factory reset, or a boot recovery.. the fastboot does work, but the device is also locked and i can't do a recovery due to this. I tried to do the root tutorial on youtube by C4ETech.. help please! :)
