HI guys, so I can't get my M8 to go past the splash screen. I've tried countless ROMs (even stock 4.4.2 from Android Revolution), all of which say they install fine, but nothing. Even when I restore a TWRP back-up it fails to boot. I'm S-ON and was rooted. I've tried wiping System, data, dalvik, cache, factory reset. Nothing happening.
Hello, I've hard the hardest time following instructions. Basically my tablet started to have an annoying issue where it would not connect to any Google services even with a factory reset. so I explored custom roms, I've had experience rooting before but never had pulled off a feat such as this. (and it didn't help that all the instructions provided to me were very vague and lacking detail):(
So far this is what I've done: I've clean & wiped in preparation for a new rom with Phils Touch. Every time I try to install a zip file with the custom rom of choice it just opens the folder and doesn't give me the option to install it. I thought this may be a problem with the zip.. well I can't try a new one since I have no way of accessing the storage (that I know of) without a ROM being installed.
So how can I get this thing to install? I've attached a photo of my issue.
Thank you, sorry if I come off as rude. I'm really frustrated.
EDIT: nevermind I figured out what it was. I was selecting a folder instead of an actual zip. Now I feel stupid. Can I delete my post?

HELP!! I performed a software update on my phone. When turning it back on it wont go past the team recovery project. I tried wiping my phone, factory reset. I tried rebooting to the system and it just takes me right back to the team win recovery project. Im afraid my brand new phone is broken :( How do I fix this???????
I purchased an 8 GB N4 off Craigslist tonight. it had an AOSP verison of Lolipop per the previous owner. it worked and I could sign in etc.. I came home and wanted to clean it myself and reinstall a factory image.
I used wugfresh tool kit and flashstock unroot option and chose 5.01. it downloaded the file, flashed it and that went fine. device rebooted and I saw the Lollipop boot animation but that was it.
I let it sit for 30 min but no change. I forced reboot but when I go to the android factory recovery it says:
E:\failed to mount /cache and it repeats that several times.
i tried factory reset and cache and finally that goes away but still it will not boot.
I flashed 4.4 factory image and that worked fine but I am unable to flash 5.0 or 5.01 at all even after flashing 4.4 successfully.
is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?
