[Q] Silent mode missing on after lollipop on Galaxy S5? topic

I have a Galaxy S5 SM-G900F. As a power user i need to factory reset my phone every half year to keep it running smooth. Since it was time for that anyway, i combined a fresh start with flashing the official polish 5.0 lollipop S5 rom. It looks and works great. Ok, more blacks would work better with the amoled screen and it can easily take 2-3 seconds to open the task switcher, which is extra annoying if you have to also use it to jump to another page. But i didn't find any major bugs and i generally love it. But one thing is driving me so crazy I'm considering going back to 4.x and staying there.

WHERE IS THE FRACKIN SILENT MODE?????

Sorry for the caps but that's kind of how i feel. Apparently it's not a bug but a feature. In vanilla, stock android on the nexus and moto g, you have to assign priority people or apps that can disturb you in priority mode. And then there's the "none" mode where your phone is completely silent. But those modes are not there in touchwiz.

* tap the vibrate/sound button in the quick toggles, it only switches between sound and vibrate, silent is gone
* long press power button: sound settings are removed from this menu
* go to settings - sounds and notifications: again there's only sound and vibrate mode. Silent mode is missing.

Please help me. The only workaround i found is to manually set all vibrates to really soft. But where is the silent mode?

[Q] LG G3 Stock Lollipop - Silent Mode? topic

Hey Guys,

i went from Kitkat with root to Lollipop.

No Silent Mode anymore, I Know that google changed it.
But is there just a simple Workaround to set all Sound quiet, but Alarm Clock should work - and also - the LED should Blink in different Colors but no Vibration or Sound.

In KitKat i used the Silent Mode - and just looked every now and then if my Flashlights are Blinking.
Is there any way to get back there?

Google Calendar Event in Silent Mode topic

When I go to sleep I switch my phone to silent (or vibration) mode for obvious reasons. However, when doing so, Google Calendar also goes into that mode (meaning mute), meaning I wont hear it in the morning. When the older android versions had a simple tick to enable the Google Calendar even when in silent mode, Kitkat seems to not allow me to do that. What do I do wrong? Or am I the only guy that uses the Google Calendar Reminder at night and not wanting to hear when somebody sends me a spam email?

Thanks for help
