Google play movies doesn't work for me topic

I'm trying to get google play movies to play man of steel (which I purchased from google) but I keep getting a "there was a problem while playing" message when I attempt to stream the movie,when I download the movie it only plays for 9 seconds before I receive the same error message except this time the error message includes "[-38]". So it got me thinking that perhaps its because I'm running a custom ROM. Has anyone here gotten google play movies to work while on a custom ROM?

[Q] AOSP Bug with Google Play Movies and TV App topic

I came across this running a few Lollipop AOSP ROMS (Scrosler, Screw'd, SimpleAOSP). It seems that the issue is on any AOSP Lollipop ROM, Google Play Movies and TV app cannot play videos. The videos will list in the app, but if you try to play them, you will get a message about an unsupported device. The app works on the Google Factory Lollipop image, and seems to be specific to AOSP. One of the developers has also experienced this. Just wanted to confirm with some others, and find out if there is a way to submit this as a bug?

Google play movies problem topic

So I buy all my movies from the play store. Since buying the n4 yesterday, I haven't been able to play any of them at all. Not on stock, or any of the stock based roms. Tried root cloak and the issue is still there. The only thing I have not tried is an aosp rom which I will be trying tonight. Here is a screenshot of the error I get. Any help is appreciated. How to watch 3D Movies on Gear VR topic

Step 1 - Create a folder called 3D under Oculus / Movies / My Videos /

[it'll look like this Oculus / Movies / My Videos / 3D]

Step 2 - Put your 3D movie in that new folder.

Step 3 - Get into Oculus Cinema and go to my videos. It'll be labled 3D on the top corner and the video will merge the two views when you watch it.

PS - I moved the whole Oculus folder from the gear vr sd card to my previous sd card. And I still don't know how to watch youtube other than downloading it from youtube and placing it in the 3D folder.
