The Glass Screen Protector We All Have Been Waiting For! topic

iVisor Glass for the Note 4, by Moshi

Description

Completely scratch-proof, shock-proof, and bubble-proof, iVisor Glass is practically a bullet-proof vest for your Galaxy Note 4's touchscreen. Made of IonGlass™, iVisor Glass features an atomically-strengthened structure that is stronger than tempered glass screen protectors. It also features a new precision-tooled bezel tailored to your Galaxy Note 4's curved touchscreen to provide 100% edge-to-edge protection. While most screen protectors require a tedious installation process, iVisor's proprietary design allows for an effortless, bubble-free installation in seconds. Because IonGlass exceeds the hardness of tempered steel, the surface is nearly impossible to scratch, even with a knife. At 0.3 mm thin with rounded edges for fit your Note 4 screen, iVisor Glass blends in and virtually disappears on your smartphone screen. Once installed, you won't notice any difference in screen clarity and touch sensitivity.

[Q] Best Tempered Glass for OEM Dot View case? topic

Topic says it all. I am looking for the best tempered glass screen protector for my new One M8 for Windows that will work with the OEM case. While I haven't committed to buying the OEM case yet, I have found far to many complaints about knock off cases to even consider trying to get one (without a recommendation anyway).

I've read many of the screen protector threads, and simply haven't found enough information on how well these screen protectors work with the OEM Dot View case. I have read that I should only look at tempered glass that is .15mm's thick, which leaves only the Glass-M case like the one found here.

I also read I should get a H+ case to help reduce finger prints (tempered glass protectors are very new to me!)?? This item doesn't appear to be H+???

Any help would be much appreciated. I wish we had better options for Dot View cases, but I've already made up my mind to get one since I went with the One M8 instead of the Lumia Icon. I'm even open to suggestions other then the OEM Dot View case if there are now some that would let me use thicker protectors.

[Q] Tempered glass issue. Please help. topic

Hello,
About two weeks ago I have applied the Orzly tempered glass to my Moto G 2014 , and everything was fine.
2 days ago I have noticed, that at the top of the phone, the glass does not stick to the phone anymore.

I have also attached a photo of the issue. Even if I press the glass, the problem remains the same.

Is there anything I can do to fix the issue ?

Thanks
Andrej

[Q] Proximity sensor issue with tempered glass topic

I got a new tempered glass screen protector, however, it is covering the proximity sensor located directly to the left of the top speaker. Since it is covering the sensor, I am unable to access the dial screen during calls 9 out of 10 times unless i keep swiping my finger on top of the sensor to get it to work. I got AndroSensor to test out the sensor and it does stay at 0.0in 90% of the time. When it does work, the value returned is 2.0in. I really don't want to replace this screen protector because it is nice and love the smoothness of it but unable to use the keypad during calls is too much.

Is there a way to manually turn on the dial screen during calls? Tried swiping, pinching, you name it.

Is there a hidden setting I could try like entering *#0*# on some phones for a workaround solution?

Is there a way to modify the settings of the proximity sensor? I am rooted.

The weird thing is there is a cutout on the protector but it is on the right side... Most of the pictures I saw of tempered glass for Nexus 6 had the left side covered but right side cut out as well. What's on the right side that is more important than the proximity sensor? Did they not know? Blah sorry for rant...:(

[Q] Glass cracked on my Galaxy Note 3 topic

Hey guys i have been a bit busy in the last 3 to 4 months because of my job therefore wasn't as active on XDA as i always have been but today i have been forced to come on XDA again due to an unfortunate accident which my Galaxy Note 3 faced in the morning.

The glass on my Galaxy Note 3 has cracked..........it fell from a height of just 4 inches and bam! the glass has cracked, the screen is working fine and the touch response is fine as well but the glass has cracked.......i am surprised(infact shocked that it cracked after falling from a height of just 4 inches where as on the other hand my good old HTC One X has fallen from a height of 6+ feet 5 to 6 times and it is still working fine).

So my questions are(especially who are living in Pakistan):

1.What can i do now..........where and how can i replace the glass?

2.What will be the estimated cost of replacing the glass?

3. Has anyone else faced this unfortunate accident?

Your feedback will be highly appreciated and i'll be grateful if you guys reply me ASAP.

Regards.

[VIDEO] Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Glass Screen Protector Install topic

This is my first install of a larger screen protector for a tablet. Overall it's a nice product (link in video description) and does the job. I have a Griffin Survivor case installed over it. This is one of those Chinese protectors.

Someone left a message in the description suggesting laying it down first, taping an edge and then removing the protector for the adhesive. Has anyone tried that? I'm not sure I'd be that good at that technique. This one has always gotten the job done, but maybe I'll try that next time.
