USB OTG cable topic

I'm a bit confused.
Having searched around these are in abundance.
But I'm seeing a lot that are actually flash drives.
Such as this one
Kingston 32GB Data Traveler MicroDuo USB 2.0 OTG Micro USB Flash Drive
Is this purely a flash drive or can I hook this upto phone and laptop up to that?
Same question for this type:
OTG/USB Multi-Function Micro SD TF Card Reader Adapter Hi-speed For Smart Phone

Finally, are they really useful. Specifically can I store music on an OTG sdcard or flash drive and play it normally via Google Music app?
Will I be able to save pictures direct without having to manually move them?

Original micro USB cable topic

Hi guys,

I am wondering if there are "chinese" or "original" (OEM) micro USB cables, I mean I bought from eBay 2 micro USB cables (not the cheapest ones), so I tried to flash a Samsung and Galaxy Nexus phones via this cables, and it did not work, it says that "Connection with devices was lost" or it could not find it at all, but if I'm trying to flash a firmware with an OEM Samsung S2 or Galaxy Nexus cable it works well, so what's wrong with this? and how can I find a good cable for that on eBay or Aliexpress?

By the way, I noticed that cables bought from eBay are made from a harder material, it's close to plastic, but the OEM cables are made from a silicone like rubber. So I suppose there is some magic :D

HDMI Cable topic

I purchased the Amazon Basics micro HDMI cable (http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-H...ords=mini+hdmi) and I've been having issues with poor or no connection. The first time I connected the tablet everything was great. I played about an hour of Portal with no issue. I had to reboot the tablet, and after that I couldn't get a signal. I tried the HDMI cable in my Canon 70d and had no signal. I assumed that the cord was bad, but last night I tried again and got a good signal for about ten minutes. I had to change the source on the TV and when I went back to the original input, my signal was gone. Has anyone else experienced this with the Amazon HDMI cable or any other HDMI cable? What are some good low-cost HDMI cables that others have had success with?

Is there a way to flash the stock firmware without the fastboot cable? I've shredded 3 micro-usb cables and none of them have 5 pins, only 4. Can I replace the cyanogen rom with a stock Amazon?
