[Q] Fingerprint sensor problem topic

Hello,
About a month ago my fingerprint sensor suddenly stopped working(I was running full stock ROM). It was saying an error occurred try restart device. That obviously didn't help. I saw a post here on XDA that wiping cache of fingerprints app with titanium backup could help. So I rooted device, wiped cache and only thing I did was triggering KNOX(with rooting). Then I saw again here on forum that flashing with GS5's PIT file could help. It didn't. So, my warranty is void now and I don't know wait to do. If somebody here knows how to fix this because I am highly convinced this is software issue I would be very grateful.

[Q] where is light sensor code in cm/android source topic

Hi guys.
Do you know where is the code responsible for converting raw light sensor readings that it gets from sysfs into values we get through sensor manager? What I've noticed is that values in sysfs are continuous (0-65000) and those from sensor manager are not - all I get is 0, 7, 75, 1000, 10000 (Samsung s advance, Vanir rom). I'd like to improve auto brightness algorithm a bit but for this i need more values...

I've been digging in android source code for some time and I can't find this.

HTC One M8, Sensor Hub partition dead topic

Hello everyone,

since 2 days im trying to restore my M8 too stock. I tried all ways, via RUU, nandroid backups etc. I always flashed the firmwares, made sure I did everything the way it is supposed to be.
But every flash ends with the same ending: Either the phone wont boot into android at all, or all sensors and the camera wont work.
When i open the camera app, there is a black screen displayed for like 4 secs, and then im straight back at the home screen. I can see the shutter button, but nothing happens when i press it.
Furthermore, no sensor works. Orientation is dead, proximity, light, everything. There is also a 2 sec delay between pressing the power button and the screen coming to life.

After doing everything again step by step i discovered something, that might cause everything. While flashing the firmware, the CMD gives me following lines: (cut-out)

as you can see, the RUU for the sensor hub isnt flashed how it should be. The CMD even stops for like 5 secs after displaying

After 5 secs, it continues with the line

Is there some way to get the sensor hub working again? Im rly clueless and would be very happy if someone could help me!

bug light sensor? topic

Light sensor:

I have covered the light sensor but the lux level don't fall at 0.
The min lux level is 7.7.

I have repeted the test on the my nexus 5. The level min is 0.

Have i found a bug?

[Q] Oxygen sensor test without finger topic

So there is always a way to test the different sensors on the galaxy models...turning them on and off...and theres the flashlight also known as the flash of the camera...i can turn the flash off and on to use it as a flashlight...is there an option to turn on the oxygen sensor led on without to cover it with my finger..the led is very strong i assume..i want to use it as a flashlight in red..is there a way to just click it on?

[Q] Fingerprint Sensor Error topic

I got a N910G for only a week now. My wife bought me when she aboard to Singapore. In a week everything is smooth i love a lot this phone. Suddenly i cant open my phone using fingerprint. When i reach the homescreen through backup password i directly reach fingerprint manager and an error come up, 'An error has occured with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device. I try restart so many time, i try pull up the battery and still nothing happen. I give up and suddenly few hours later it working again. The finger print run normal again, but its only a day. The next day the finger print died till now. I already try reflash using odin stil not work. Im really desperate because i cant swap it because im not living in singapore. I search the web this problem happen since Galaxy S5. I never drop my phone yet. I just wonder why samsung with this high price tag have a poor quality:crying: i think i have to accept it or anybody have anything that i can try..

[Q] Proximity sensor issue with tempered glass topic

I got a new tempered glass screen protector, however, it is covering the proximity sensor located directly to the left of the top speaker. Since it is covering the sensor, I am unable to access the dial screen during calls 9 out of 10 times unless i keep swiping my finger on top of the sensor to get it to work. I got AndroSensor to test out the sensor and it does stay at 0.0in 90% of the time. When it does work, the value returned is 2.0in. I really don't want to replace this screen protector because it is nice and love the smoothness of it but unable to use the keypad during calls is too much.

Is there a way to manually turn on the dial screen during calls? Tried swiping, pinching, you name it.

Is there a hidden setting I could try like entering *#0*# on some phones for a workaround solution?

Is there a way to modify the settings of the proximity sensor? I am rooted.

The weird thing is there is a cutout on the protector but it is on the right side... Most of the pictures I saw of tempered glass for Nexus 6 had the left side covered but right side cut out as well. What's on the right side that is more important than the proximity sensor? Did they not know? Blah sorry for rant...:(
