Ultra GPE no longer getting 5.0 OTA update notice? topic

Hi, my Ultra GPE did receive the notice for the 5.0 OTA update originally, I chose to wait a bit before installing. However now the notice is gone (has been gone since around the 16th) and going through system update my 4.4.4 is considered the most recent version. I tried clearing cache but that did not bring the notice back. Has this happened to any one else?

Z Ultra Screen Blank!! topic

i bought a xperia z ultra 6 month ago, there was no problem in 4 month but recently when i want to unlock the screen the screen goes blank(black) or colored so i should press the power button several time until the screen turn on normally.
i take it to workshop they said to me we should change the screen! but any one know why this problem occurred?
a person in another froum said to me the z ultra's screens are week!! is it true?

[Q] Z Ultra won't read sim card, random reboots. HALP! topic

Just received my Z Ultra Today, and had some issues. Firstly, it was randomly powercycling. The 4.4.4 update seems to have fixed the worst of that.
However, the issue remains that the device will not read a sim card. I've tried four different sim cards from four known working devices and two carriers. It just reads, "Invalid Card- Emergency Calls Only".
I've gone through and repaired it several times using the PC Companion and i've tried several resets as well- nothing.
At my wit's end.
HALP!
Edit: Yes, i do have a valid IMEI. Knowing that, should i return the item to the seller?

[Q] How to allow access to /system on Z Ultra C6833? topic

How do kind sirs/ladies.

Basically I'm having trouble finding out how to allow apps (and xposed modules) to have write access to the /system folder. The device is otherwise rooted, and is running stock Xperia firmware 4.4.4. Ideally this would be done without a PC as mine has bit the dust, but if its the only way then hit me. (Figuratively please, I bruise like a peach)

Best MicroSd Card? Samsung Pro vs Sandisk Ultra. topic

It's time to ditch my Sandisk at 48mb/s and upgrade. So...I'm wondering what is the best micro sd card I could get for this device? Two options I'm looking at are the Samsung Pro series with 90mb/s and the SanDisk Xtreme at 92mb/s. Is there anything better? Please share your experiences and thoughts.

[Q] External SD issue on Z Ultra GPE with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) topic

I installed Android Lollipop on my Z Ultra GPE (Stock version via OTA) and tried to use External SD card by using 3rd-party apps which say "Lollipop supported" (e.g., ES file manager, Root explorer, Solid explorer, etc.)
Issue is, I cannot grant the permission for accessing External SD card to these 3rd-party apps - when I try to do it, the windows for choosing Internal/External storage only shows the device's Internal storage, not its External SD card.

Could anyone help me on this issue?
I suggest that if it is intended by Google, all GPE devices will not be able to access to External SD card even in Android Lollipop.
