[Q] No Download mode, no fastboot mode, no hard reset mode topic

Dear all,

Thanks for reading this post first. I have a G3 D855 with a unknown ROM inside (as i bought it from others, i don't know what the ROM is, but it is obviously a custom ROM). I try to flash a stock ROM and search the method from the net, but no method i can use for the following reasons:

1. i can't go into download mode (tried turn off phone, hold volume+ and plug in cable method)
2. i can't go into recovery mode with any key combination (used the method online, the screen will light up but LG logo won't show, there light off, keep looping like this)
3. i can't hard reset with any key combination
4. as you can see above, i can't get into fastboot mode with any key combination (but i do can use program in Win7 to call the phone into fastboot mode)
5. When i connect the phone (turned on) with Windows 7, it can recognised as LG G3, and i can explore the internal storage. But if i try to connect it for the Download Mode, then it can't be recognised, just "dang dang" sound from the computer. (i have installed the latest LG drivers). My phone can't be recognised in Ubuntu.

So, i try to figure out what has happened to my phone, and after searching for few days, i believe that i may flash sbl1.img, aboot.img, rpm.img, tz.img to get back the above modes for my phone (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2582142). I would like to know if my thought is correct at this point.

If yes, can i just make my phone into fastboot mode with the help of the Windows Program to flash back those img, or can i use Flashify to flash those image?

[Q] How do I change download icons? topic

Hi guys, Is it possible to change the download icons? I have a (rooted) Lenovo S8-50 Tablet and the download icons are uglyyy. By download icon I mean for example, I download a file from chrome and it's starts showing that's it's downloading with the arrow thingy in the notification bar. Anyway, I've attached a pic with a red arrow pointing towards it, just in case you don't know what I'm talking about. Thanks.:)

GPS EPO file download scheduler and One-Click tweaking tool for Mediatek devices topic

This application is only for Mediatek CPU based devices that use EPO files for AGPS functionality.
Currently support for MT6589/MT6592 is tested but it should work for any other Mediatek devices which use EPO files.
Use this application at your own risk! I recommend making full backups before using.
This application enables you to automatically download the EPO files on a daily, weekly or monthly basis if you would like to do so without any interaction required.
It has a One-Click feature(OK it's 2 clicks :D ) that enables you to quickly get some of the optimal settings for your device in your region.
A backup of your original gps.conf file is made.

Requires:
*Mediatek device using EPO files
*Minimum Android version Ice Cream Sandwich
*Root access (Ideally with SuperSU, may work with others)
*Internet access

What are EPO files?
AGPS enabled GPS module can start-up faster, perform faster TTFF (time to first fix), and obtain faster positioning information under weak signal environments.
On average, using AGPS cuts the GPS module "cold-start" time by half, and "warm-start" down to one second.
When GPS receiver is powered on for the first time, almanac and ephemeris data from the satellites must be transmitted continuously for 40 seconds without interruption to the GPS receiver for normal operation.
By uploading pre-calculated almanac and ephemeris data in proprietary "EPO (Extended Prediction Orbit)" data format to the GPS module, the waiting time for the initial data transmission from the satellites is now significantly shortened. The EPO data contains predicted ephemeris data for 7/14/30 days and need to be re-downloaded once it expires.

What are NTP servers?
NTP servers provide your mobile with a very accurate time reference that help ensure a fast GPS lock.
As standard most Mediatek phones use a Chinese server for this and so a connection from anywhere else in the world is likely to be very slow. With this app you can set the NTP servers to ones that are closer to your own location.

How this app works:
*The application can download the files on-demand or on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule.
*Download is done from a more stable location for the EPO files than the FTP location that Mediatek previously used.
*The files are downloaded to a temporary location in the application folder and then moved to /data/misc
*To automate downloads, select your required frequency, switch the toggle to "ON" and save.
*An unobtrusive flash message will display briefly "EPO Updated" when the files have been updated at the scheduled time.

What One-Click does:
*Updates your EPO files
*Deletes your mtkgps.dat file for regeneration
*Updates your gps.conf file with NTP time servers appropriate for your region
*Injects a line into your build.prop which puts the Dalvik VM in a mode which enhances the accuracy of the GPS.

Added monthly and weekly scheduling of download.
Disabled monitor service when scheduling is not used.
Added gps.conf time server tweaks.

[Q] I'm stuck in download mode topic

So, I got a galaxy tab s 10.5 today for Christmas. In my excitement to root it I think I may have screwed up, given that this is my first Samsung device (I've rooted and done a bunch with a Nook HD+, but this seems to be a bit of a different beast). Basically, I was following the steps outlined here http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...nfire-t2881826 and now I think I've got my tablet stuck in download mode and have no idea how to get it out. I'm stuck on a screen that says "no command" and "now send the package you want to apply to the device with 'adb sideload <filename>."

I don't think Odin did anything as when I ran it the tablet and the computer didn't do anything, the log it displayed was short, and it ended with "(succeeded 0/failed 0)." Again, I'm a total noob at this, but I didn't actually do anything to the tab outside of getting it into download mode, correct? I did NOT remove the usb cable from it until it was clear (I'd say 10 minutes or so) that Odin wasn't doing anything to it.

I've tried holding the power button down by itself as well as holding down the combination to get into download mode and I'm not getting any response. Is there any way I can get out of it or will letting the battery completely drain solve the issue?

Where can I find help to this boot loop? Has anyone seen one like this before?
Phone had been previously rooted using purple drake, I then updated to 5.0 and after a few days got stuck into a normal boot loop "LG logo->Restart->LG Logo->Restart".

I then tried to re-flash a stock rom to fix the loop and got this loop when I replugged the USB cable during the installation process.

Hi all user
In this tut i want to learn how we can download xperia devices roms with IDM from xperi frim tool As you know , we can download any roms with xperi frim but somethimes speed of download is very slow and this tool doesnt have resume/puase option ( in v3.1) therefore i decided to provide this tut

Requirement
1- XperiaFrim : .you can find at http://forum.xda-developers.com/cros...oader-t2834142
2- Notapad or notpad++ : you can find at http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
3- Flashtool : you can find at http://www.flashtool.net/
4- Internet Download Manager : you can find at http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/
5- HJ-Split : you can find at http://www.hjsplit.org/

Ok lets go:
First open xperi frim for select our device and related roms and double click on it:

In this level select “ copy urls “ for copy all links of rom into clipoard:

Open notpad or notepad++ and paste links:

Now add all links into IDM:

And download all files:

Downloaded all files for me:

Its important level here you should seperate files into 2 parts like this:

Some files name without any letter in middle it ( like first 3 files ) and some files has letter in middle it ( like second parts.i show it with red line )
You should rename and remove files format for first and second perts.like this:

Rename to:

*** for first part rename all file to:

FILE_281312136
FILE_281784180
FILE_281606041
And wihtout any formats

And second parts rename to :

FILE_281784198.001
FILE_281784198.002
FILE_281784198.003
FILE_281784198.004
FILE_281784198.005
FILE_281784198.006
FILE_281784198.007
With .001 and .002 and .003 and ..... formats

*** for first part format files should be .files and the second part , files format should be .001 and .002 and .003 and ....

Here you need HJ-Split tool for join all files.open it and select join option:

And here select first files ( FILE_281784198.001 ) :

And select output folder:

And wait for join finished:

Now you can delete all second parts files ( .001 and .002 , ..... foramts ) and select first parts files & final joind file and move to frimaware folder in flashtools or other location you like it

then open flashtools and go to
Tools / bundles / FILEST Decrypt

Then select source file from location and add files:

Like this:

Select all and move to right ( files to convert part ) then click on convert and wait for decrypt it
When finished , one window was opend.here you shoul fill correct information in blank window
Then select all files from left side and move them to right side and click create:

And wait for make ftf roms:

Flashtools now known this rom:

Bootloop, no download mode, no anything topic

So my G2 has been hardbricked for some time now, about 4 months since I went ahead and just got a new G2, but to be honest I feel like there is some way this thing can be unbricked. So I'll tell all who read this what problems I have:

• Bootloop as the title says, just LG logo for about 20 seconds, then black screen for 1 second, then back to LG logo


• No known way of getting into any recovery mode, whenever I hold power+vol. up/down, just blinks a red light


• All I can remember that I screwed with was some img files back when it was soft bricked


• It was soft bricked due to complete stupidity, I was trying to flash something completely incorrect and that's all I remember


• No usb detection on Windows 7 or Ubuntu

So there ya have it, if you can fix this, you would make my year haha
