[Q][HELP] How To Set Selinux policy to Permissive Permanently in Lollipop Touchwiz topic

Hi , I just updated to latest stock firmware on Lollipop , And rooted , Before that supersu showed me that there is knox in my phone and if I want to remove it or not .
But this time (v 2.40) Supersu isn't showing meany warning on knox . And I don't know yet how to disable it .
And I am trying to Change the Selinux Policy to Permissive PERMANENTLY .
So I installed the "Selinux Mode changer" and set it to permissive .
But after rebooting I did got the notification that selinux mode did the job .
But getenforce command always returns enforcing .
And in About Device so .
So , does anyone knows what the problem really is or what is the program that's causing this ?
And I hope you guys have a solution for this .
Regards,
Shahriar

Easiest way to get Permissive SELinux? topic

I will have a Note 4 in a few days.

I'm thinking about getting an AppRadio, and in order to use ARUnchained or the like on it, it looks like I might need to have SELinux be off or set to permissive, or something of that nature.

I know it's possible to do this with various kernels on the development forum, but I'm wondering what the easiest way to do this is, if I want it to be stock or as close to stock as is possible, just with permissive SELinux.

I've tried to figure this out on my own, but the closest I can find is flashing a kernel with a whole lot of other modifications, which I don't necessarily want to do at first. Anyone know of any other way, or of a kernel where there are not so many modifications?

Thanks for any help!

[Q] Need help with Selinux on building android 5 topic

Hello, and good morning everyone.

As my title implies, I have problems with the Selinux and Sepolicy on building and running android L on my tablet. Some background information:
  • Tablet I am working on is Asus ME301T

  • There is a device tree for 4.4 which I am using as a base

  • I am using cm12 as my source

  • I am able to build the rom, but it is not booting

Now that those are things are clear, I think I am able to move in to the problem itself. I had some problems building the selinux from start, but was able to fix it with this commit . It seems like that was not the correct way to fix the issue, as I am getting a lot of "permission denied" errors in the kmsg like this:

Code:

[    6.880239] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/power/runtime_active_time:  Permission denied
[    6.881143] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/power/autosuspend_delay_ms:  Permission denied
[    6.881912] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/driver:  Permission denied
[    6.882938] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/tegra_dc_ext:  Permission denied
[    6.884344] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/tegra_dc_ext/tegra_dc_0:  Permission denied
[    6.885720] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/tegra_dc_ext/tegra_dc_0/uevent:  Permission denied
[    6.886620] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/tegra_dc_ext/tegra_dc_0/dev:  Permission denied
[    6.887558] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/tegra_dc_ext/tegra_dc_0/subsystem:  Permission denied
[    6.888481] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/tegra_dc_ext/tegra_dc_0/device:  Permission denied
[    6.889736] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/tegra_dc_ext/tegra_dc_0/power:  Permission denied
[    6.891289] SELinux: Could not set context for /sys/devices/tegradc.0/tegra_dc_ext/tegra_dc_0/power/runtime_status:  Permission denied

Full kmsg is linked on the bottom of this post, should it be required for better understanding of this issue. The error I got whilst building without the commit I linked above was that type "system" was not found. In case you need the exact error, I shall get it for you.

Can you guys give me a hint to where to go next with fixing this sellinux? I am kind of lost myself and Google didn't help me (yet)
