Help! - stuck in "kindlefire" boot screen topic

Hi!

I have a kindle fire hd 8.9 running the 8.5.1 version.

I managed to root it using the key root master app (i think it was an indonesian/chinese language, which was suggested by one poster), although it was kinda weird because it didn't install the superuser app. Then, i tried to install the 2nd bootloader and twrp using the fireflash app from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2277105. But somehow, i couldn't get it to fastboot mode, although it wasn't needed according to that thread. I flashed it using the fireflash app, however, i couldnt get it to go to the TWRP recovery. Then, i noticed that there was an option to go into recovery from the fireflash app, which i pressed, and now, i'm stuck in the bootscreen showing the kindlefire logo. i could turn it on and off, but that's it.

sorry, im quite a relatively newbie at this. from what i've searched, maybe the KFHD srt tools can help with this. Will it work even if i cannot go into fastboot mode?
