Does anyone know the size of the UAG compared to the Tech21 Tactical Case? topic

I just got the Tech21 Tactical Black case yesterday from Best Buy. It's nice, but it doesn't look amazing, and it's a bit bulky (but acceptably so). Still, I decided I'd like to try out the UAG ice case off Amazon since it looks good, and from what I'm reading, the protection is basically just as good. Just ordered it (still time to cancel though). I'm wondering if it's much larger than the Tech 21 or not, basically. I hear it's hard to put on and take off, but I don't plan to do that much if there's no issues. I'd like for it not to be larger though.

So does anyone have any idea? I did try to check for myself, so I checked the dimensions of the tactical case - Width: 86mm Height: 160mm Depth: 12mm Weight: 45g. However, I can't find this information for the UAG.

Does anyone know what version of supersu was on the play store before 2.23?? topic

Hey guys, I'm having lot's of issues with supersu lately on my G3.

I found this list of release notes for supersu http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...24&postcount=3

But the problem is it lists all the versions of supersu in the history of supersu and I need just a list of the versions that were released on the play store.
Or does anyone know what version of supersu was on the playstore before the last update?? (The one with the old icon)

I'm trying to find the version of supersu THAT WAS ON THE PLAY STORE right before they updated (The one with the old icon.) Does anyone know what version this was??

[Q] I know what you're thinking, but I'm afraid my G3 is hard bricked topic

This started with my trying Online Nandroid Backup from the Play store, which I've used on my previous Android phones. I made a backup with it (I had TWRP v2.8.2.0) while Jasmine 4.0 was up and running, and then I booted to recovery, made a regular backup directly in recovery, then wiped and tried to restore the backup that Online Nandroid created. I saw something in the restore log about uboot partition. It restored the rest of my partitions fine. Then I made a bad choice and I told TWRP to reboot. I thought I should still be able to get into TWRP even if the ROM won't boot, but negative.

The only thing I can get into is the menu to choose Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, Power Off, Continue Boot, and I think there's one other option.

I've tried them all. I've tried leaving the battery out for more than a minute and then trying again. No matter what, after a brief show of the LG logo, the screen goes dark and the notification LED toggles between green and orange repeatedly.

No ROM booting, not even starting, no recovery at all. The computer doesn't see it in this state. I've tried LGMLauncher.exe, LG Flash Tool 2014, and as I expected nothing will see it, which makes sense.

Any ideas? I expect I'm SOL.

US or Global GSM - how to know? topic

Hi all,
Got a few questions, searching here as well as Google w/o any answer.
If you know, please provide it. Greatly appreciate!

I bought 2 motoG 2014 Global version on Amazon a week ago. Just received them. My concern is how to know whether it's an US version or a Global version?
I thought I've seen something with US on the Build number but not 100% sure since I don't have them with me right now. Will update later.
I just want to verify that Amazon didn't ship out the wrong ones.

Also, according to news, motoG 2014 already receives Android 5.0 update but mine don't get the upate and 4.4.4 claimed to be the latest.
I do it over Wifi, not via AT&T mobile network since I don't have the SIM installed.
Question that I don't have 5.0 because of no SIM installed or ............ the US has but the Global not or vice versa?

[Q] Need help to root an LG Splendor. Don't know where to start topic

Hello,

This is my first time posting here, so please excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong place..
I had an LG Splendor (US730), android version 4.0.4, which I believe is ice cream sandwich. I had this through US Cellular, but after moving on to Verizon and getting an HTC, I gave this phone to my granddaughter. She uses it on WiFi to play games and stuff, there is no cell service connected to it. She is running into the problem now of not being able download games, etc. that she wants because the android version is too old.

I asked LG if there was an update from them that could get this phone to hopefully kitkat so it would be usable for at least awhile longer and they said no, it can only go to ice cream sandwich. She is only 11, my son and I don't want her to have a "real" phone yet.

So, I have been researching rooting and I think if I could figure this out, I probably could do it. I am fairly computer savvy, but not phone savvy. Everywhere I read, leads me to a download in the forums here from Bin4ry, but this specific phone is not listed in the compatible devices for this. I have read in other forums of a few people who tried it and it didn't work, so I am asking you experts here, is there somewhere I can find a way to root this phone so that we can upgrade the android version?

I am somewhat confused as to all the lingo involved in rooting, I understand the basic theory, but roms, etc. , I still haven't quite figured that stuff out. But if I did know I could fix this phone, I can learn it, I just want to be able to do it right. The last thing in the world I want to do is end up ruining her phone because she loves it.

I have hit a couple websites with step by step instructions for this rooting this exact phone, but I don't even know if I can trust random website instructions. So, because you guys seem to be the "go to" place for help I am asking here for help.

How to know if note 3 is locked to a specific carrier? and how to unlock it? topic

my friends note 3 n9005 only works with a certain carriers sim card. when i put another carrier sim card it displays no sim card. from that specific other carrier i tried several sims they didnt work.

the certain carrier that i put its sim card in note 3 works with some sims and others not.

it is really annoying i want to know if it is locked or not how? i rooted it and tried regionlock away but nothing changed, i tried to put custom rom same problem exist.

please help, i want it to work with all carriers.

it doesnt diplay any message of region lock or sim lock. it reads sim cards of a certain carrier and not sim cards of other carriers.

Anyone know about USB Dev? topic

Hi,

Android Dev Noob and just looking at the SDK I have this question which probably someone will be able to tell be straight away.

I want to relay USB Host port data to a USB accessory port.

I am looking at the USB Host APIs >= Andriod 3.1

What I want to do is be able to relay the keyboard, mouse and touchscreen that I have connected on the host port and relay that to the OTG.

So here is my noob questions before I waste loads of time.

1... Is it possible to create device manifests on the fly.
I was thinking I could just make devices connected on the host appear as if they are on the accessory port.
If not then I guess I could create some default manifests and pick the most relevant.

2... This is hardware related but many tablets and android boxes have separate usb host & otg ports?
It is possible to have a host and accessory going at the same time.

This might makes things a little easier as the rationale is that I have a windows 8 machine and an RK3288 android box and I want to share the keyboard, mouse and touchscreen.
Video is easy as I can just swap the input between pc & hdmi.

I was thinking if I plugged all my devices into android I could just have a hot Key to redirect to windows 8 or don't capture and use devices on android.

I thought it might be a much simpler way without network needs and have read there are gesture problems with KVM products such as Synergy.

What do you think is it possible, does anyone know if this has already been done and there is an app?

Also if you have any better ideas or some pointers where to start all will be welcome.

Want exynos note edge. Which model is best for t-mobile USA? I know no lte. topic

Hi I am interested in the note edge exynos version for use on t-mobile's HSPA+42 network. I know this variant will not have USA lte support. Which model should I be looking at? The exynos processor is better for low level hardware coding from what I've been reading. Basically it's better for emulators like ppsspp. Or maybe you guys should convince me to use a snapdragon. I don't know. Lte never seemed like a big deal to me with t-mobile's HSPA+42 network.

First, I know this is the wrong post. 2 I have read everywhere topic

Been trying t fx my LG exceed 2 for months. I need the stock kdz for this to do it. Don't need any help other than a good download link. I need the stock kdz file. A link to it .. Anything. Even the stock recovery would work. I could do a lot with that as I have NO recovery in it right now. It looks to get signal from phone Bluetooth wiri etc. It won't. No internet at all. I just want to fix it. I have tried everything but the filws I need aren't available and I can't find them anywhere. As I said I have been looking fr weeks. Its a pretty bad ass phone. Too bad Verizon hates customers. Anyway. Any helpbwould be appreciated.
PS, if aod will move this to a better spot that's very cool of you to do. I just have looked everywhere and nothing is even close. Locked bootloader on a prepaid phone. Are they going crazy over there? If I wanted an I phone I'd go buy one. Jeez.
