Lollipop[5.0] Sound & Notification topic

On Kitkat, my volume button was controling the media volume without affecting the Ringone or notifications.

Not with Lollipop, my volume button controle Media sounds, but if I lower it down, it also lower my Ringtone... Is there a way to keep Ringtone volume to Max no matter what ?

Notification sound looping topic

When I receive a notification, the sound the phone makes to signify this plays continuously until I unlock the phone and pull down the status bar. I know that this has happened with both photo auto backup notifications and also YouTube notifications. As far as I know, hangouts did not have the same effect when I received an sms. My N6 bootloader is unlocked and my phone is rooted.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Massive Sound distortion while listening to music topic

Hi guys,

since my Nexus 4 days I am always facing the same issue of massive sound distortions while listening to music. The same holds true for my Nexus 7 (2013) and bow the nexus 6.

When playing music (e.g. Via Spotify or poweramp) the music stutters including horrible sounds similar to a broken venyl as soon as I put a little bit of load on the cpu. While on my Nexus 4 the problem was also there when the screen was of or even during phone calls the latter is fine on the n6.

I have tried all kind of kernels, schedulers and governors, but i can't make this go away at all.

It's weird that I have the same problem on all my Nexus devices. Since I do not read about others having this issue I guess I must do something wrong.

Does anyone have an idea?

Speaker noises when playing sound on low volume. topic

I noticed that when I'm sitting in a completely quiet room, when I play a video and set the volume to 1 bar, the sound is so bad you can hear literally only buzzing and other wierd noises. It's absolutely fine at higher volume levels, I guess the noises just don't get louder. And I'm wondering, because I have this phone for like four months, and I'm not sure if this got worse than it was at the beginning. May it be due to cleaning the dust with compressed air? Should I remove the cover and check if everything is ok?
Also, it can be heard better if you're holding the phone right by your ear, please check if it's the same for you.

No boot animation sound topic

It's pretty straight forward about how to change boot animation on the OPO and other android phones. Done it on the OPO's we have and G3. Animations and boot sounds play on G3, but only boot animation on OPO's. The boot sound will not play on the OPOs. I'm using the same sound file, PowerOn.ogg, for the G3 and OnePlus.

I've read many other posts, and specifically one where the boot animation creator put the PowerOn.ogg file into system/sounds and or system/sounds/poweron On my OPO's, stock 44s rooted, the system/sound directory did not exist, so I created it and those placements do not work. Permissions of the directories are correct. I've tried using the same directory as the G3, system/media/audio/ui, and permissions to 644. Does not work.

Can someone please advise where to put the sound file/how to get it going?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S4 sound not working on calls topic

I have a Galaxy S4 GT9505. I started facing a problem with the in-call audio. When I can someone they cannot hear me and I cannot hear the m either. There is no ringing sound either.
Here is a list of things which I have done to resolve the issue but nothing seems to work so far:
1. Rebooting the phone
2. Rebooting by pulling the battery and simcard out and putting them again.
3. Factory Resetting the phone and wiping all data.
4. Delete all files KNOX

My phone is rooted. My soft is I9505XXUGNK4 4.4.2 Germania DBT
Pleaseee help me, please !!!!

Hello I want to know how to remove this sound, I've searched for modded stock apps. Not available for SG5.
I want to delete /system/media/audio/ui/camera_click.ogg, but idk if it will **** up the app or not.

no sound during call (401.11) topic

Hi,

I really don't know what to do today.
I am on hboot 1.57 s-on and I was stuck with the no sound in call problem,so I downloaded a stock version of Android with stock kernel and updated the software version(firmware?) To the 6.09.401.11 but on any rom (insertcoin, viper,stock) the no sound in call bug is still there(no sound and no microphone).
The problem is that i can't downgrade my firmware because of the s-on.
So i'm stuck with a phone that can't call and I really don't know what to do to solve this. :(

Right now i'm back on viper but even when flashing the fix phone calls won't work. So I really need your help here.

Sound quality topic

Hello,

I did some reading on the Nexus 5 and most of its problems I can live with, but many people complained about bad sound quality via the headphone output.

Can you confirm or deny this? I use my phones mainly as mp3 players and therefore the sound quality is extremely important for me.

just made a clean install of cm12 (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95857557620393430) and everytime i get a messag (Telegram or Whatsapp) and the screen is of the sound don´t stop until i activate the screen and klick on the massage!
any clue why this is happening?

I have used my D855 for 2 weeks now, mainly on a stock LG 20d/e ROM. When I listen to music without touching the phone everything works fine. But when I use the phone - web browsing, apps, etc. - the music stutters every few minutes. It's really annoying. I thought it was bad with my Galaxy S4, but with my G3 it's even worse. Am I the only one?

Is possible to play sound both in my device and Chromecast when mirroring? topic

I would like to keep playing the game sound both in my device and in the Chromecast, because I'm planning to record an horror gameplay using a Google Cardboard. Would be nice to show in the TV what the player is seeing and hearing and keep the sound on their earphones.
I tried to use the TV output sound, but it has the mirroring lag and even though it had not, the player could tie yourself in the earphone cable, would be more practice to have the sound in both devices.

Can't get Viper V4a Sound Working topic

HI. Im having trouble getting Viper FX 2.3.30 working..

I can install, but after installation it prompts me to install the driver, (I pick high quality), I reboot, and then next time I run it, it asks again as if the driver is not installed.

System is rooted, busybox installed and app has root priveledges..

Anyone have any ideas?

[Q] notionink adam 2 tablet sound not working topic

i have an notionink adam 2 tablet . i had rooted the tablet using kingo app and installed viper4android effects and chosen it in place of default in music effects . one day the tablet was infected by a virus and became too slow so i did a factory data reset without unrooting or disabling theh viper4android effect. after that the sound and autorotation stopped working . there is no notification or alarm or any media sound from the tablet using headphone , internal a well as external speakers as well as using bluetooth speakers . cm 11 kitkat update was available and was advied so i did the same . everything installed fine , the autorotation started working but sound still not working . please help and provide some insight as how to approach the problem . it was working very fine just before factory reset so i am sure it not a hardware issue . the volume panel appears greyed out similar to when a driver is missing in pc and panels are greyed out . any help will be of immense benefit as rest of the tablet is working wonderful.
