[Q] Audio drop outs (root) topic

This is driving me insane. Ever since I rooted my Note 3 I get audio drop outs . I had the same issue when I rooted my Note 2. I'm still stock just rooted.

Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. I would like to stay rooted but if I can't resolve the audio drop outing every few minutes I'm going to have to revert back....

Please help!

[Q] Trying to root my i9506 S4. topic

I am new to this, so I am stumbling in the dark. I can see a little light at the end of the tunnel though.

I am trying to root my Samsung Galaxy S4 i9506 bought in Denmark.

I have found the following guides:

This guide wants me to flash CWM before rooting.
This one wants me to do more or less the same

I get the impression, that these are the types of phones that are compatible with the first guide's files.

The information I have found on my phone by dialing *#1234# does not add up with any of the listed numbers:

Does this mean that my phone is not supported?

This problem aside, I found another guide.
This guide does not have me install ClockWorkMod to root my device. What's up with that? This seems much easier - too easy, really.

Thank you for your help.

[Root] How to get 1.61Gb extra with Portal and HalfLife 2 topic

Hi everyone,

If you want get a 1.61 Gb on your external sd card with Portal and HalfLife 2, follow these steps :

If you don't know Portal and Halflife2 share the same source file : com.nvidia.valvesoftware.portal/com.nvidia.valvesoftware.halflife2(1,61Gb)

If you have installed both, they take 3,22 Gb, that's huge.

Unfortunately, du to lack off ln command on Android(symlink and hardlink), that's not work on internal sd card.(I tried so hard)

Need : a SD card(fast preferably), a pc on Windows, Folder Mount(Free or Pro), Rooted device, a pc with a sdcard reader

Step 1 : - Plug your sdcard in your sdcard reader and Format the sdcard in NTFS if it's not the case /!\ Note all devices support NTFS Sd card(for Nvidia Shield Tablet it's ok)

Step 2 : - Insert your sdcard in your device

Step 3 : - Use Mount Folder to mount Halflife 2 and Portal on your Sdcard

Step 4 : - Remove the sdcard from your device and plugged in your pc

Step 5 : - Delete the main.22.nvidia.valvesoftware.halflife2.obb on your sdcard(Android\obb\com.nvidia.valvesoftware.halfli fe2)

Step 6 : - Type that on a cmd windows : fsutil hardlink create "X:\Android\obb\com.nvidia.valvesoftware.halflife2 \main.22.com.nvidia.valvesoftware.halflife2.obb" "X:\Android\obb\com.nvidia.valvesoftware.portal\ma in.22.com.nvidia.valvesoftware.por
tal.obb" where X is the letter for your sdcard, a message appear.

Step 7 : - Insert your sdcard in your device

Step 8 : Enjoy ! Now Halflife 2 and Portal use the same file and you gain 1,61Gb.

Note : I know Halflife 2 have long loading on low speed sdcard, i recommanded to use the fast sdcard that you can.

Comparison : Loading screen Half life 2:
Internal Sdcard(16 Gb) : 1min10 (Can be faster on model 32 Gb )
ExternalSdcard (Lexar x300 16Gb UHS-1) : 1min20
ExternalSdcard (Sandisk 32 Gb UHS-1) : 1min50

[Q] What is the status of the 64 bit root? topic

Hi,

Does anyone know what the status of the root for the 64 bit 510 is?

Is it simply a matter of someone needing to compile a version of twrp or are there some more significant barriers that need to be overcome?

Thanks,
