[Q] Samsung S4 - Choose input method Pop-Up topic

Hi there!

I have recently discovered a issue with a pop-up requesting me to choose a input method. I have currently using Swiftkeys and I have disabled (frozen) the original Samsung keyboard but the prompt is still here. This pop up will appear every time I wake my phone and it also appears on my lock screen on top of my pattern lock. I just tap away from the text box and it goes away. Now Swiftkeys is the only keyboard on my device and it is still asking for my input method.

My phone is rooted with a stock ROM on Kitkat 4.4.2 running a Google Now launcher. I have installed a few root apps like Tit-Backup and Greenify. Keyboard/input settings have not been touched so I am not sure why this issue is appearing out of the blue.

Thanks!
Please ask if you need anymore information on my phone.

Is it possible to flash TWRP without using adb/fastboot Recovery img method? topic

I no longer have access to any Windows 7 or XP machines, but would like to update my TWRP to the latest version: 2.8.1.1 (I believe I need to do that in order to flash any Lollipop ROM). I'm currently running 2.6.3 modified.

My notebook running Win 8.1 does not recognize the device in adb. Nor have any other Win 8.1 machines I've tried, despite having the HTC drivers downloaded on all of them.

So the question is - can I update TWRP on my Evita via any other method? All the guides I've read on installing custom recoveries involve adb/fastboot.

Is there some way to flash the latest TWRP version (in a zip file format?) directly from my current version of TWRP, like how I would flash a new ROM?

Thanks for any help.

Easiest method for copying XBMC setup on fire tv to fire tv stick? topic

Hello all,

I have been working on my setup on the fire tv device for some time. I have XBMC customized and configured for my sources/shares and chosen add-ons. I just received my fire tv stick and would like to basically copy the setup to the stick.

For some reason I was never able to get the apps like adbFire to work when I tried Backup XBMC / Restore XBMC (now Kodi) so I was wondering what the easiest way to mirror the setup would be? Is there a config file that i could copy from an install on one device to an install on the other that would setup everything? I am thinking that would probably be "too easy" but it might work for the shares/sources.

Look forward to the responses. Thanks all.

Any idea why the phone keypad input method insists on spaces? topic

What I mean is when I try to select individual letters with the phone keypad in XT9 mode, it always puts a space between every letter. Like I'm the 3rd, so I use III a lot, but when I hit i and select it from the bar above the keypad, then the next time I hit i there's automatically a space, and I can't seem to make it stop doing it.

Any ideas or suggestions?
