Fire TV apps topic
Hey guys, I have a Fire TV unit, that unfortunately cannot be rooted. I love using it but the 8gb storage limit is almost impossible to work with. So, i went out and bought a Matricom G-Box Q, just so I could use it for Kodi/XBMC. I am wondering, can Fire TV apps work on a regular 4.4 Kitkat Android box and if so, how could the apks be downloaded without them going specifically to the Fire TV box? Restoring Apps from a previous Nexus 6 device or ROM topic
Hello all, has anyone else run into this issue? When installing a new ROM, lollipop gives you the ability to restore from a previous device. With my previous phones on lollipop (GNex, DNA, G2) I was able to restore from each different ROM I installed on the phone. With the N6, I have installed custom rom's on two different N6 devices and I am not getting the option to restore from either N6. This is frustrating because I have removed apps I no longer use that were on previous devices, but my only option is to restore from the previous devices and uninstall those apps again, or start fresh. Any tips for this?

I recently bought an sd card. I am rooted running Iron rom and skyhigh kernel for the T800. For anyone using sd cards, is there a way to install apps to it and run it fine on my device while it being on my sd? Can someone tell me an app or something so i can save space on my internal storage? I have also applied the sd patch and formatted the sd with my tab s. Thank you!

so my question is, is there any way to make apps run in background ?
For example when i press the home key when using whatsapp the app has exited since the timestamp changes from online to last seen at
So i need the app to run always in background

[Q] Google Apps on VPN!!! topic
Hello anyone... I would like to know if theres a way to work this out.
My Monthly data Plan on my Network service is limited and if based on Normal Android usage(Watching Youtube, All app Syncing, Updating apps), it would not last 2 weeks. But on my PC, i use a Data Network which i power using a VPN Software (PD Proxy) which is unlimited! I can do whatever i want without fear of running out of Data. I have installed a WiFi Hotspot Program (Connectify)
I want to Manage my 3G Data by connecting to my PC Network when at home. So i can save more of my Mobile Data since i can use the Network on my PC (Mostly to Download/Install Apps from Playstore) But i notice when i get connected on the WiFi... Almost all except GOOGLE APPS (Playstore, Gmail, Youtube, etc) would not work.
Now, Is there any settings to do on my PC/Phone so i could use ALL the apps on my phone while on the PC VPN Network?

[Q] Google Play only showing free apps topic
So here is the scenario.... I set up my new Ouya not realizing it updated. Obviously Root my Ouya app no longer works, so I gotta hold of "towelroot v1" which rooted my device. I than added "SuperUser", "Xposed (v2.5.1)" and Mod Collection for Ouya(v5.1)". The "Mod Collection For Ouya [5.1]" is checked in Xposed and "Google Play Store Mod" is "on" under "Mod Collection For Ouya". The Ouya has been rebooted... I'm at a loss for how to get Google Play to show more than free apps!
Thanks in advance to anything I may have missed, I'm new to Ouya modding and have only had the Ouya for a couple days.

[Q] 3rd party camera apps vs. stock topic
What's your experience on 3rd party camera apps such as Snap Camera, A better camera, Camera Zoom FX etc. in comparison to stock google cam app? Do they perform any better in point-and-shoot scenarios? Some of these apps recently got support for camera2 API on Nexus 5. Does that actually change anything except RAW support and 4k video recording?

Modify launcher to allow more than 16 apps per folder topic

I have the stock cm12 launcher but it only allows 16 apps per folder.
How do I modify the launcher to disable this limit? I like the cm12 launcher and don't want to get rid of it. Help?

I have a Galaxy s2 lte currently with 4.1.2 . Just purchased a kingston 16gb micro sd,
Formated it.
Went through the settings selecting 'move app to sd and the app would open the close on start up.
Restarted phone, they would show up as grey stating they were not installed
I have redone this by uninstalling, installing and re-moving multiple times.
Yet non of the apps will stay funtional.
I have never rooted my phone nor do I wish to
So far I havent found other forum posts about it.
Since my problem is not just the home page but the app pages as well.

HELP! Images are not loading in apps like twitter, tweetcaster, 9gag, tumblr topic
Hello guys.
I'm having this issue, images are not loading within tweetcaster, twitter, tumblr, 9gag and flipboard (so far). Since I can navigate without any problem on the web versions of them, I'm discarding any connection issue. Even other apps as youtube, facebook, g+ are working without any problem,
I've noticed this after installing TWRP 2.8.1.1 when I did a full backup and restore of the tablet. ( I wanted to try the CM 12 ROM. )
Do you have any idea what could be? I've already tried clearing cache and data for each application. I've even tried wiping cache and dalvik partitions. None of them have worked.
If I wipe data partition and then install 9gag, it works flawlessly. So my best guess is that something is wrong within data partition. But I don't know what!
I dont want to reinstall everything again, so any ideas are welcomed!

What apps CAN cast to nexus player?? topic
I just unboxed this today. So far every app I have tried to cast from doesn't work. Flixster has an error, 2 different encore apps don't work and VUDU doesn't even see it. I had zero problems on my chromecast. I upgraded to this for the AC band and for my son to play games on it. Now I can't even watch my ultraviolet movies. Is this just me or am I doing something wrong?

I bought the Nexus Player because I thought it would be a device that anyone could publish apps for but I haven't seen a single new app added to the TV app store since release. Google has a bunch of documentation on how design TV apps but nobody can publish apps that show up in the TV app store? Is this for real or am I having some sort of issue?
