Don't receive notifications topic

Hi!
I'm experiencing strange problem.
Any.do, wunderlist, mailbox, inbox sometimes delay (mailbox, inbox) or don't show notifications at all (any.do or wunderlist forgot to remind me, if I set remind me on time). For any do and wunderlist notifications work, if I put them to a hour forward, but if I put more, then it doesn't notifies me.
I don't hve have any task killers, greenify, battery life enhancing stuff.
This problem was on PA 4.4b5, and now on lollipop crdroid.
Tried push notifications fixed, it doesn't help.
Any suggestions?

Why dont Xiaomi phones support encryption? topic

First time poster, long time forum stalker, I just bought a mi3 and I think I regret it. The reason is that it doesn't seem to support phone encryption. I headed over to the en.Maui forums but they seem to ignore people that ask difficult questions.

Anyway do I need to wait until the kernel sources are released or is there anything else I can do

[Q] Need help to root an LG Splendor. Don't know where to start topic

Hello,

This is my first time posting here, so please excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong place..
I had an LG Splendor (US730), android version 4.0.4, which I believe is ice cream sandwich. I had this through US Cellular, but after moving on to Verizon and getting an HTC, I gave this phone to my granddaughter. She uses it on WiFi to play games and stuff, there is no cell service connected to it. She is running into the problem now of not being able download games, etc. that she wants because the android version is too old.

I asked LG if there was an update from them that could get this phone to hopefully kitkat so it would be usable for at least awhile longer and they said no, it can only go to ice cream sandwich. She is only 11, my son and I don't want her to have a "real" phone yet.

So, I have been researching rooting and I think if I could figure this out, I probably could do it. I am fairly computer savvy, but not phone savvy. Everywhere I read, leads me to a download in the forums here from Bin4ry, but this specific phone is not listed in the compatible devices for this. I have read in other forums of a few people who tried it and it didn't work, so I am asking you experts here, is there somewhere I can find a way to root this phone so that we can upgrade the android version?

I am somewhat confused as to all the lingo involved in rooting, I understand the basic theory, but roms, etc. , I still haven't quite figured that stuff out. But if I did know I could fix this phone, I can learn it, I just want to be able to do it right. The last thing in the world I want to do is end up ruining her phone because she loves it.

I have hit a couple websites with step by step instructions for this rooting this exact phone, but I don't even know if I can trust random website instructions. So, because you guys seem to be the "go to" place for help I am asking here for help.

[HELP] Buttons don't work topic

Hi guys, I have a problem..
If anyone can help me, I appreciate
After I instal CM12 CAF, I try enable multi rom, but my phone stuck on boot loop..
I reboot using power button + vol up, and reinstalled the rom ..
After the phone boot, the power button and volume no longer work
And when put to charge the cell, even removing the cable it is locked as if still carrying
But I can enter the recovery mode and restart the emergency mode
Can someone tell me what the problem is my nexus?
It would be hardware problem?
I have done a clean install of the rom, installed the stock and no return to normal, I'm desperate. :crying:

How do I freeze the OTA application so I don't have the notification? topic

I'm on rooted 5.0 and got the 5.0.1 OTA notification. I'm planning to run Cyanogen once it becomes official and don't want to bother wiping data, flashing the stock recovery, etc.

What do I freeze in Titanium to stop the update notification? I searched but couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance!

[Q] 'Secure boot Error!' at boot, download mode and factory reset don't work topic

Hello,

Here is what led to my issue:
I rooted my phone using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...3#post38886073
Downloaded clockwork rom manager.
Here comes the thing I don't remember. At least i know that the last thing i did was to click on 'backup current rom'
After this the phone reset itself and this message came up:
Secure booting error!
Cause: boot certification verify
Then i tried to reset using the power button, which led me to the 'battery full' screen - afterwards i was able to reboot. As stupid as I am I just tried the same thing again. And ever since i am stuck at the 'Secure booting error!' screen.
I am unable to enter download mode. I get to the 'Hard factory reset' screen, but if i accept doing so, it says 'Secure booting error!' again.
I also remember clicking on 'restart into recovery mode' at some point, but this is not the last thing i did.

I am really desperate. Please, help me!

[Q] what i don't get about android and root topic

people fine holes in the OS and use this to root on my phones right? an exploit of some kind.

why not have (in dev options) an option to enable root access, point to what app you want to handle it (supersu/superuser) and enable it there? supported by the OS itself? it's hidden so most users won't see it, you'd still have to know what app to install and there'd be no exploits being revealed to get root access.

plus every phone would allow root if the user wants it. to me a phone without root is like getting a laptop off dell and not being allowed admin rights.

I have not broken a phone since my iPhone 4 many years ago...an then it was just a small hairline crack. This morning my phone fell of the couch from about a little more than a foot high and it completely shattered. I have dropped my HTC M8 so many times in this way and not even a scratch or dent. I was shocked. Oh, well, guess I'm glad I kept my M8...back to it until I get get a replacement or get it fixed...only had this moto X pure edition for 5 days! Just hope it I can not break it more than 3 times (motocares limit) until March when new phones come out.
