S4 Features for CM12 topic

We know, of course, the original android is cool, and the CyanogenMod (or AOSPA, AOKP) is very cool. We can't have some features of Galaxy S4 (Touchwiz) in CM12. For exempla the camera, toolbox, USPM (S5 feature ported to S4 in some roms), Mult-windows and more. Is possible port these features for CM12 ?

Sorry for my bad english :cyclops:

OFFICIAL CM12 Released. topic

http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hlte

I'd figure I just put it out there in case anyone wants it. The only issue I'm having is the proximity sensor on calls. When it turns the screen off, it won't come back on when I take the phone away from my face. I tried resetting the sensor through ADB, but I keep getting a read only error. I had the same issue on CM11, and the fix worked, so if anyone has ideas that would be great.

Here is the fix I tried: http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/8...x/page__st__20

First step - Doing the manual recalibration:

$ su
$ echo -en $'\x74' > /efs/prox_cal
$ chown system:system /efs/prox_cal
$ chmod 644 /efs/prox_cal
$ sync

Reboot your phone.
After rebooting, please test, this will make the proximity sensor work, however, it will only work in a very near distance.
Now, you should do this, to fix permanently with the default proximity distance:

Second step - Fix the proximity distance:

$ su
$ echo 0 > /sys/class/sensors/proximity_sensor/prox_cal
$ echo 1 > /sys/class/sensors/proximity_sensor/prox_cal
Reboot your phone.

Official CM12 has been released topic

Our first build isn't up yet though.

This may be the straw that breaks my resistance to break the seal on my Z2.

CM12 for Note 3 SM N900 (Exynos) topic

Hi everyone (especially devs)...

Some devs (Thanks to all!) are trying to port CM11 to Note 3 SM N900.
There is lag problem and it's not solved yet. It is not convenient for daily usage.
Also, there are little bugs (but these are not important problems).

Now, I am curios about is there anybody who thinks to port CM12?
We, all Note 3 SM N900 users, are waiting an AOSP ROM and I think we deserved it.
Please, do it and make us happy.

Titanium Backup Not Restoring in CM12 topic

Hello All

I am having trouble restore apps to CM12 Unofficial with Titanium Backup.
I moved from CM11.

I could restore calls and messages fine, but general apps get stuck restoring.
Any ideas?

I've tried using all the modes etc but no luck.
I searched but could not find anything.

Merry Christmas

Minfree settings in CM12 Roms topic

As there are again and again discussions concerning the minfree settings in CM12 roms, I decided to open this thread. If a moderator thinks, this is the wrong place for this thread, just move it, to where it belongs.

Obviously, since the last builds of CM12, the settings for minfrees cause some trouble. After a clean install of any rom, the minfree settings in trickstermod and in fauxclock are completely empty. In fauxclock the settings for OOM (out of memory) Score as well. Some people entered them manually, but I'm afraid, this won't help.

To really solve this, you have to do the following steps: open your file explorer, go to sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters. There you will find 5 files. Two of them do not have correct permissions. The first one, called adj, is for the OOM Scores. The other one, called minfree, is, you won't guess it, for the minfrees. :fingers-crossed:

As you see, both of them have only write permissions, but no read permissions. So I guess, the system will ignore these settings completely. I checked this, using cool tool from play store, very nice tool to show for example the actual free ram in your status bar. And in deed, the ram went down to 25MB, after I had opened a handful apps, and then my phone stopped working. I only could do a reboot.

Now the solution, which is quite easy: change the permissions into rw-rw-rw (666), and maybe change the group under owners into root (I'm not sure, if this is necessary, but it does make no problems, so why not).

Et voilà - if you now open trickstermod or fauxclock again, you will see the preset parameters. As you can see also, the minfrees there are really high. In another thread, there have been suggested the following settings, which are a good standard:

trickstermod 48/60/72/84/96/120
fauxclock 12288/15360/18432/21504/24576/30720

Important: In fauxclock, the minfree settings are not made in MB. You have to enter the so called "pages" for minfrees, which I can't explain exactly, what this is. In general, if you want to change minfrees in fauxclock, just take the settings in MB, you want to, and multiply by 256. This will give you the correct values.
BTW I don't think, it's a good idea, to change the OOM Scores, as long as you do not know exactly, what you're doing.

So, hopefully I could help a bit and clear some things up. But the final question to the CM devs remains:

is this a bug or is this a feature? :confused:

Problem with CM12 based ROMs topic

One issue that I have is that sometimes the speaker cuts out during a call so I can't hear anybody. I have to put the call on loudspeaker and then off again so I can hear them. It also seems to cut out if I bring the number pad up as well. I've had this on 2 CM12 based ROMs - Candy5 and AICP - and it happens with both of them. I've just flashed a stock based ROM - I don't like stock based ROMs - and I don't have the issue.
Does anybody else have this problem? I'm using a D855.

Attempting to Build Beanstalk from SkiWong's CM12 device tree topic

Hi all,

Moderators: If you feel this doesn't belong here, I apologize now, but based on the sticky, it feels like this is the right forum.

I have been working on a Beanstalk LP port for the Nexus 6. I am trying to figure out if anyone has seen this build error before, as Google and forum searches have found nothing relevant. I have worked through a number of issues, but am now stuck. SkiWong has been very very helpful. I have been able to build a complete image build, but when I run make bacon after selecting the device in the lunch menu, I am now getting this message at the end as it is building the ZIP file.

raceback (most recent call last):
File "./build/tools/releasetools/ota_from_target_files", line 1652, in <module>

I can't tell if something didn't sync some required files or if something isn't there. Based on what I see it looks like the file SYSTEM/bin/otasigcheck.sh is missing. That said, I don't know why or where to get one.

Can't copy Rom to Internal SD when on CM12. topic

Hey guys i have a small problem. I can't copy Cloudy rom(or anyother rom for that matter except CM12/PA) to my LG G3's internal SD. It says that the file is to big. What should i do? CM12 is a bit to buggy for my taste so i need a stable custom stock rom.
