[Q] Hide Nav Bar? topic

I'm new to this phone from an LG and a Huawei. Each manufacturer embeds an option in its UI to hide the navigation bar in certain apps to allow immersive mode. Is there anything like this for the Xperia UI?

How to hide softkeys on Android Lollipop topic

Title says it all... I tried to do modifications in build prop and some apps from play store but nothing is working.

Hide navigation bar? topic

Hey guys so I just ordered an NVIDIA Shield with some leftover christmas money, and it's going to be here by tomorrow. I have a question though. I currently have a Kindle Fire 1st gen, running 5.0 Lollipop and what not, and one of the features that I really enjoy about the ROM is that, I don't believe it's Extended Desktop that does it(I'm too lazy to get my kindle right now), but there is an option somewhere within the ROM's settings that allows me to hide the navigation bar unless I swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Looking around on XDA, I see that the shield is really lacking in custom roms, as well as not having any custom rom for lollipop. So question is, does the shield's stock rom have the ability to hide the navigation bar? I'd really like to have the extra screen estate. Thanks!

[Q] Hide Thumbnails. How? topic

MX Player list option had a selection where I can hide thumbnails. And now it seems to have disappeared from few version updates ago.

I really would like this feature back. Or have you moved to other places?

Please let me know. Thank you.

[Q] Best way to hide settings (getting first phone for a kid) topic

Is there some app to manage the phone? Or perhaps there's a way to do this without 3rd party apps?
Basically we got our daughter her first phone ever 2014 MX and just in case I'd like to lock it down as much as i can. I don't mind her using apps and obviously calling but I did set a limit on data and in general i don't want her any any of her friends to potentially screw with settings.

Thanks!
Oh yea, running Lollipop

Hide Carrier Text on Status Bar? topic

Anyone figured out a way to do this? I could've sworn GravityBox had an option for this but it does not. It seems to me the only modules that allow this option are device specific ie Sense, G2Tweaks, etc.

Auto Hide Soft Keys root topic

https://lh6.ggpht.com/8oJZ9tobvTu-tOaBgoc7iipmM-1fwGtL01PBRu-7fQANU15Brmni1YVu_REQNZ77HDM=w300
Description

AHSK allows to hide navigation bar and auto show/hide it with simple swipe from bottom. It hides only navigation bar (soft keys) in Phone UI and does not hide notification bar.
Requires ROOT!

KitKat support added!

Known issues:
- On Android 4.4 (KitKat) Hiding/showing stock navigation bar will trigger lock screen.

Unique features:
- Hide just navigation bar and keep notifications bar.
- Show Quick NavBar and click soft button with one simple swipe.
- Spoof Soft Keys - make Android think you still have soft keys and display Menu button in applications actions bar.
- Theme Quick NavBar - use any custom image for buttons.
- Adjust trigger size and position.
- Integrate with Gesture Control or Tasker using Shortcuts.
- Stock firmwares, CyanogenMod, Pac Rom and Paranoid Android supported.
- No modifications and no reboot required.

PRO features:
- Change trigger color and/or transparency.
- Disable trigger (and Quick NavBar) if you use other alternative.

Other full screen apps hide notifications bar too and has no option to hide just navigation bar. Hide Soft Keys is different - it only removes navigation bar and replaces it with Quick NavBar. You can always access stock notifications list and recent applications list.

[Q] Lollipop AOSP Based Roms that has hide apps ability topic

Are there any AOSP Based Rom (Lollipop & D855) that has the ability to hide apps on their main launcher/Google Now Launcher (GNL is better)? I really love the smoothness and style of AOSP Based Roms, but this is the only feature that is keeping me away from flashing it. I hate seeing so many apps on my drawer (e.g. Google Settings). I would love to see this feature coming to AOSP Based Roms in the future. Or if anybody knows, please feel free to tell me. Thank you.
