Quiet microphone when on the phone topic

Hi I have this problem where I have a quiet mic when I'm not on loudspeaker, does anyone know of a fix?

As far as I'm aware it's been a problem since the 5.0 update (now on 5.01) and it's getting quite frustrating because I can't speak to people normally, Instead I have to shout at them through loudspeaker.

I have done a hard reset and that didn't fix it, so I was wondering if there's anything else I can try.



-- people say I'm very quiet and distant sounding when I'm on the phone normally.

Returning my Fire Phone topic

I picked up a Fire Phone during the Black Friday Firesale. I've given it a month to see if I could use it, but it spent the last week in my glove compartment. I just feel like FireOS is too limited. It's not any one thing, more like a bunch of small annoyances added up.

Pros:
Love the hardware
Integration with Amazon services is nice (Audible, Prime Video)
Most gapps work sideloaded
Cheap

Cons:
The whole OS is designed to sell you stuff. I don't like paying money (even just 0) for ads.
Doesn't feel like a true Android experience, even after sideloading Play Store and changing launcher.

At the end of the day, it's a phone I didn't use. I'd rather lug my LTE iPad mini around than use this phone. Even with a year of Amazon Prime ( since I'm a student), I can't really justify keeping it.

[Q] Mobile data while talking on the phone still not working?? topic

Good afternoon,
I have had my motorola droid turbo for approximately two weeks now and noticed for the first time today that while trying to make a phone call I'm unable to use mobile data even over my wifi. Is this something that is still coming down the pipe for droid users? I seem to have run all of the updates possible that are available from Motorola as well as Android. I am Not Yet on lollipop so unable to test that.

Failed text messages appear only after phone restart topic

Hi all,

I run into an intermittent problem where I see some 'messages not sent' errors after restarting my phone. However, I clearly recall that the messages looked like they were sent fine when I had composed them and hit send.

I'm on T-Mobile if that makes any difference, using the Moto G LTE.

Any ideas if there's a way for me to catch these failed messages sooner rather than later? Perhaps I should use Hangouts to as my default Messaging app? Maybe Lollipop will improve this when it arrives in an OTA update? Anyone else have this problem too?

[Q] Need help with my phone, constant crashing topic

This morning my OnePlus randomly started giving me crashes "com.android.systemui has stopped"
I reformatted my phone and reinstalled the CMod 11S, then it started giving me "AudioFX has stopped working" constantly. I then tried to flash the nightly ROM, and now it's giving me the same "com.android.systemui has stopped" error.
I now have no custom recovery, all of my data is gone and the phone won't even mount to USB storage.

I'd REALLY appreciate it if someone could help!!!

[Q] My phone is posessed. Everything is f'd up. topic

Ok, so.
It all started when I flashed [ROM][Official][BeanStalk][Android_5.0.1][t6_all_variants] (Htc one max VERIZON) rom, since everyone said it was ok to go with it.
Wellllll... just my luck. I didn't go that well.

I was aware that there could be a problem with the cellular, and oh boy was there a problem, indeed.
(I am not here to talk bad about the rom, I just need help for my problem and the rom developer and I are in the different time zones. So bare with me, I'll get to the point in a minute.)
I couldn't make any calls, no signal etc, but ALSO, my phone didn't ask the pin either.
So, I thought it was because of the ROM, so I tried another one, did all the necessary wipes before flashing new roms, but the problem didn't go away. (I tried 3 different 5.0 roms, and none of them worked for me, signal wise.)

So, now I'm on Google play edition rom, which works fine, but still the phone won't ask for a pin code, no signal. Nada.

I re-flashed the google play rom again without my sim card, and now I'm all out of options, since the notification bar looks exactly the same without the sim card. It doesn't show the little sim-card pic, but just an empty signal bar.

ALSO, when I try to flash ANY sense roms, my phone goes ape****. It boots normally, but after the boot animation, it shows a static image and I can only access settings and whatnot via lockscreen.s.

Happy holidays. Please help me :(

[HELP] Clickable phone number links broken, brings up popup topic

For some reason, whenever I click on a clickable phone number link, could be from Google Now as pictured attached or from the Web, it brings up this stupid popup menu that doesn't allow me to dial directly. I tried searching here, I tried going to Default Apps and clearing Contacts, I tried finding out what app needed its data cleared, but I've come up short each time.

If you can help me or point me in the right direction to fix this, I really appreciate it, confused as to what happened for this to be changed and screwed up. Thanks!

Is there any useful DD rom for this phone? topic

My wife has a razr M running FXZ 182. I've de-bloated it as much as possible and it still runs like garbage. Her phone will randomly reboot throughout the day, sometimes it won't answer calls, when she charges it it gets very hot, the camera sometimes crashes too. Overall it's a pretty terrible phone. She really wants a Nexus 5 like I have but we can't afford it right now.

Are there any daily driver roms that just work, I don't care about fancy features or even latest android (although it would be nice). She just needs something that doesn't rape the battery, will snap a photo once and a while and take/make calls.

[Q] My phone is going absolutely crazy topic

I was just scrolling though instagram and all of a sudden the whole phone image started scrolling up and kept going now it is turning on and off and the picture is like a tv that is has no signal and is stuck in a bootloop. Simply thank you for this gift. I have on issue with Viber app that I like to share:

Clean installed with TWRP with phone setup as new.

1. When I call someone through viber app and or receive a call through viber, speaker phone is always on and I cannot turn it off. Has anyone else have this issue and resolved it or is it some settings that I may have mistakenly ticked off?
See the attached screen shot of the viber call and you will notice that the speaker icon it greyed out and it is always greyed out. I cannot turn it off as it is greyed out.

Please help????

Need feedback on Verizon phone topic

I've been with Verizon for many years, and grandfathered in to unlimited data. Love it.

Here's my dilemma... A few years ago I had the Galaxy S3, loved it. Moved on to the S4, hated it since it was so laggy. Ditched it for the '13 Moto X Dev Edition, had it since they came out. Got to the point where I needed something with better battery life and the screen started to get severe burn-in. Decided to try the iPhone 6 and 6+ a couple of weeks ago, both had horrible urine-yellow screen issues, took them back and got the Note 4. Well... I've been through three Note 4's due all having screen discolorations, one being pink at the top, the other two were darker on the right side of the screen and very warm on the left. Needless to say, I'm disappointed in Samsung since their screens were always awesome.

So... I'm still within my 14 day return period and need options on good phones. I'm looking for good battery life, something not terribly laggy, takes decent pictures and doesn't suffer from bad burn-in too soon, preferably LCD but will consider something AMOLED. I'm used to the Note 4's size already so I'm not picky on phone size. Expandable storage is also preferred but not a deal breaker as long as it's at least 32GB built-in.

If I can't figure something out, I'll have to grab a used phone from craigslist or something to hold me over until something better comes out. Please help me out guys, I'd really appreciate it!

[Q] S-Voice not working with phone data (works on Wi-Fi). Any advice? topic

So I got a Gear S, paired it with my Galaxy S4 and S-Voice seemed to work well at home, but I found that it didn't work when I was outside. Nothing about S-Voice worked when I was out (except the wake up command "Hi Gear"). Doing a bit of testing I found that it worked when my phone was on Wi-Fi but it didn't work when my phone was switched to data. Oddly enough, S-Voice works from my phone regardless of the Internet connection it has, so this seems to be an issue with the Gear S. The error message I am getting on my Gear S is "Could not find network connection." Any ideas? Tips? Advice? (besides avoiding Samsung's crap, because that's all I've been hearing until now...)

Hi Everyone, Today Im here to discuss about a typical android based phone problem Im facing ,specially spd 6820 based android handset.

REMEMBER: not all spd6820 or other android Gives me this error, only some of them gives me error like this. And I Know very well (thats what I think, dont mind ) how to use "adb" and "fastboot" command.

when I tried to connect android based phone with my pc by USB DEBUGGING on, And , when I typed "adb devices" in the command line , it shows only "List of devices attached"

All driver is ok. you can check this screen shot.


I Have "miracle advance android tool 1.2 (MAAT)" , It can't detect android phone too.


But funny thing is that my "miracle box" and "piranha box" detect it very easily , look at this




Note again: not all devices gives me this error, only some of them specially spd based android handset.

can anybody solve this problem???

[Q] Phone won't boot when installing a custom rom PLEASE HELP ME :( topic

Ok, so basically I picked up an xperia Z the other day. I didn't quite like the stock sony look so I thought why not. Lets root
I rooted successfully using flashtool and a tutorial and youtube, and I installed a dual recovery?
I think that's what it is, but it worked successfuly. I had team win recoovery and it worked fine. So I downloaded cm11 the most stable build which was snapshot m12 and, downladed the gapps. I put them both in my phone and did all the usual format system cache dalvik cache etc....
After it was installed I wanted to reboot my device and it didn't.

All it would do was vibrate and thats it. I cant access recovery, and the sony logo does not even appear.
However I was able to use FT again and I flashed stock sony rom back on to it.

Can someone please tell me what I did wrong and why this is happening. If anyone wanted to know it's the cc603 model and when I went onto service info it said: "Device boot unlockable: yes"

[Q] Double tap during phone call ends call! Lollipop? topic

I believe I was having this phone disconnect issue since I flashed a lollipop based rom. What happens is when I am on a phone call, the call will disconnect. My proximity sensor is working fine. To test what was going on, I made a call, put my finger over the proximity sensor, and can double tap anywhere on the screen (which is off), even a slower double tap, and it will end the call and wake the screen.

I cannot find any setting for this. It appears my face bumps the phone while talking. I've had this G2 for a while, and only experienced it since I flashed CM12 lollipop, and I even tried another lollipop Resurrection Remix and it still does the same thing.

Also another tidbit, my screen was dropped and a local shop did replace the front glass and digitizer recently, and I think I upgraded to lollipop shortly after I got it back. Not sure if it has anything to do with it. All other features on my phone work great.

Any ideas?
