I recently bought a oneplus one and didn't like the size/paranoid android wouldn't run properly in it/ one plus's customer service was horrendous... So I've sent it back and just got a nexus 5 a few days ago. The number one feature I miss is the double tap to wake and the gestures to change songs. It would be incredibly awesome to have these built into the PA. In the meantime if anyone knows how to implement these things a point in the right direction would be awesome :)

Request for Touch Recovery Help - Inwatch Z topic
I would really like to create a custom touch based recovery for the Inwatch Z Smartwatch, using MTK6572 but I am still very ignorant on how to do so. The MTK scatter I included below seems to reference EMMC. The recovery.img I included is 6,144 KB.
I know the Omate TrueSmart Smartwatch has a working touch based recovery and uses the same processor, so it should be possible.. but I was wondering if anyone here knows how I might go about such an attempt.

Anyone know where I can download kitkat that doesnt require a subscription or throws up a download unsuccessful error?
I have tried the samsung firmware site but if you manage to get to the download page the free subscription is a super slow download according the web page and when I try it has asked to upgrade then given me a download unsuccessful error.
what I'm trying to acomplish is the making of or finding of a twrp flashable firmware zip so no pc is required. Does such a creature exist?

[REQUEST] Moto X Boot Logos topic
So I have seen plenty of threads with many great boot logos created, however I have not seen any posts with a simple white Moto logo on a black background (without additional text such as "Powered by Android"). Those are great but if somebody would be able to create that white "M" logo on a black background (and if it's easy enough, the 4 attached), that would be really awesome. I've attempted this myself to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Images attached.

Watchface request topic
Voutilainen V-8R. Adjusted for our square screen of course. I kinda hate these round watchfaces that are carelessly slapped onto a square watch. Hideous looking. If this were changed to a square display (including the seconds indicator), it could be quite awesome looking

Request: SkyGo (Germany/Deutschland) on Amazon FireTv topic
Dear XDA users,
Sky, Germanys biggest pay-tv provider, just released its first mobile app to watch Sky on the go. They stated that only a few devices are suppoted, but in several forums people state that all kind of devices succeed in running the sideloaded apk file.
Sadly the FireTV is left out, since app crashes after accepting some useage disclaimer after the first boot.
One user suggested, that Google Play Services are needed in order to boot the app properly, but installing those services on the FireTV didnt help either.
I tried to boot the app in portrait and landscape mode, no luck.
I tried a Xposed HDMI unlocking module, no luck.
I tried looking through the APK file for some settings to tinker around with, no luck.
I suppose that if somebody could get the app to run on the FireTV than its an XDA user.
Does somebody here maybe have an idea on how to get that app to run on the FireTV.
Any ideas on how to rum that app since it is compatible with many Android devices just not the beloves FireTV.
Sine the app is not international and only used in Germany and Austria the userbase is somewhat limited, maybe some kind soul will help us nonetheless :)

[Q] Anroid 4.4.4 rom request topic
I am so thankful for all everyone does on this site. I do, however, have a request can someone please make a rom that deletes all the bloatware Samsung and AT&T have put in their rom. and possibly get rid of touchwiz. I'd be forever grateful.
