[Q] After factory reset from the settingsNote 4 keeps saying installing system update topic

Hello there guys.
I have a problem with my Note 4 the SM-910F model.

I had some battery problems so I decided to go to my settings and factory reset my phone from the menu, Not through recovery mode or anything. Just through the samsung galaxy note 4 settings. I have rooted the phone with CF-Auto-Root.

So now the phone is trying to turn on and it keeps saying Installing system update... with the android robot guy logo. It keeps coming on and off, on and off. The logo and text comes up for less than a second, and then it goes off for 3 seconds.. and comes back.

I don't know what to do. I am currently downloading the correct firmware for the phone, it's like 1.5 gigs.. and I've got Odin as well.. however my phone is not recognized. As in nothing is detected. So I don't know what I should do.

I even tried going to recovery mode by pressing VolUp+Power+Home button. Nothing.

Please help me.

It was VolDown+Power+Home button. Now I am on the downloading screen...

Once again. I am sorry. I now fixed it somehow. I just had to read and look at the stupid guides.. which said VolDown.. not Up.
Please remove this thread.. or keep it so people can use this as an example..of how to be an idiot.

[Q][HELP] Google Play Services keeps crashing topic

Hello all

My Google Play Services is constantly crashing and as a result I cannot use the phone unless I disable Google Play Services from the Application Manager. Other applications are crashing too but not as constantly as the Play Services.

Things I have done:
- Searched XDA and the internet for solutions
- Wiped data for Download manager, Google Play Services. Google Play Store and Google Services Framework.
- Uninstalled the Google Play Services update
- Installed apk for different versions of Google Play Services
- Deleted Phone Cache from recovery
- Flashed different firmwares (With and without a pit file)
- Rooted my phone
- Deleted Dalvik Cache
- Flashed different kernels
- Installed different ROMs
- Unrooted and returned to stock firmware

I have captured logcat logs and the exception that I always get as a result of the crash is always NoClassDefFoundError - See attached logcat file

The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505)

Any help would be highly appreciated.

[Q] keeps softbricking topic

have a Note 3 [N900A] . I have no problem rooting, and getting SafeStrap on it...yet..everytime I flash a ROM I get softbricked.....I can use the ODIN guide to go back to NC2....root it, get safestrap on it, flash a room and get another softbrick.......so...what is going on here?

nexus 5 keeps on bootloop topic

hello, i have major issue on my nexus 5. my phone keep stuck in bootloop and its rooted, unlocked bl and have cwm. sent it for repair at the place i buy it but they dont accept it because the water mark in the phone turned red. furthermore, my nexus is an AP set, so cant sent for manufacturer warranty. i try to sent it to my friend (he's pro in fixing phone software) but still he cant fix it. the cwm also lost so i have no recovery. i presume that the phone broke because of software or hardware (my nexus 5 power button rattle) or maybe both..its been a month and i almost give up on my nexus 5 but i dont want to buy new phone cause im a student and have a tight budget. im willing to repair my nexus 5 but idk where i should sent it for repair. im willing to sent it to repair to overseas if its necessary. please help me anybody out there :crying::crying:

[Q] Phone keeps rebooting after root attempt topic

I got this phone from a guy who didn't really know what he was doing. He attempted to root and now it will boot to the stock rom, and after a few minutes, it'll reboot. Trying to go into the SuperSU app will cause an immediate reboot.

I'm not familiar with HTC phones but here's what I get when I boot to HBOOT.

There is TWRP on here and going into it once has made the phone switch between it and the normal battery screen it has when it's powered down and charging. I also get a warning that "This build is for development purposes only. Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission. Failure to comply may lead to legal action."

How can I get this to working order? I plan on getting it to stock and then rooting it and putting it on the GPE rom to get Lollipop.

Kindly assist: Screen keeps randomly turning on amongst a host of other problems topic

Hi,

So yesterday I used my HTC M7 for music at the gym.

Ever since then the phone has been behaving very weirdly.

- The display keeps randomly turning on.
- Car mode randomly turns on.
- Pages on Chrome continuously refresh.
- While charging through my laptop it keeps losing connection.
- While typing the keyboard keeps deactivating and I have to keep touching the text area so I can get the keyboard back up.
- Sometimes the phone just lands on the home screen.

Its all very weird, no I haven't rooted the device, I'm using Android 4.4.3 with HTC Sense 6.

I have factory reset the device and also I kept it in a bowl of rice overnight in case of water having seeped in at the gym.

Any opinions and advice would be highly appreciated.

default ringtone keeps changing to mp3 topic

I just signed up with Verizon and got the sgs5 running 4.4.4 kitkat. I change the default ringtone in settings>sounds or in the phone app in settings>call>...and it keeps it for 3-8 hours then changes it to a song that is on my sd card. Has anyone heard of this before? I have been working with Samsung to no avail. I suppose I could take the sd card out and see what happens. I did install a new sms messaging app...Textra. I guess I could uninstall and see if that changes things but wondered if that wasn't the reason. Thanks
