Q Second Party T-Mobile Carrier Locked S5 topic

My son bought a Galaxy S5 from a pawn shop but when he put in his Sim Card it was Carrier Locked. He went to T-Mobile and was told that the phone is locked by them because the previous owner had not paid his commitment on the device and there was nothing they could do for him.

It there a way to unlock this device? I have been searching but haven't found anything related to this type of locked device.

How can i delete Carrier IQ? I found the following two files in /system/priv-app
IQ-tmobile-release-unsigned.signed_TMO.apk
IQ-tmobile-release-unsigned.signed_TMO.odex

Are there any other files related to carrier IQ which needs to be deleted?

I am not sure to which carrier my phone was originally locked. However, right now i am in canada and using my unlocked rooted M8 on Fido. I want to go back to stock rom. Can i use AT&T Rom on it ?

I would prefer using a Fido Stock Rom (if availale).

How to know if note 3 is locked to a specific carrier? and how to unlock it? topic

my friends note 3 n9005 only works with a certain carriers sim card. when i put another carrier sim card it displays no sim card. from that specific other carrier i tried several sims they didnt work.

the certain carrier that i put its sim card in note 3 works with some sims and others not.

it is really annoying i want to know if it is locked or not how? i rooted it and tried regionlock away but nothing changed, i tried to put custom rom same problem exist.

please help, i want it to work with all carriers.

it doesnt diplay any message of region lock or sim lock. it reads sim cards of a certain carrier and not sim cards of other carriers.

I am currently a Sprint customer and have been their customer since 2001. Over the past 3 years i have noticed a significant instability in internet service. A lot of people has been telling me great reviews on Atnt...which I am r eally surprised. Whats so good about atnt now? when i do switch in feburary, i will be either going to atnt or tmobile. any suggestions?

[MOD] Batterty percentage in locksreen status bar plus green carrier text topic

I cannot find a way to have the battery % show itself in the status bar with the odexed 5.0 system. I have at least been able to show the battery percentage in the lockscreen status bar. I've also changed the carrier text to green instead of white simply because it looks cool. As long as you're on LRX210 this should work for you. Just move the SystemUI.apk to system/priv-app and set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot. See below to for screenshots and the apk for download.
