My Xperia Z exploded on me and I bought a used Droid Razr (XT910) to get me by. It is an un-rooted Nordic variant with the 4.0.4 version of ICS (system version 672.180.41.XT910.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU) being the latest (with Nordic languages), however I believe the US version was de-facto upgradable to 4.1.2?
Irrespectively, the 1GB RAM and 1.2 GHz processor just isn't cutting it and the phone appears too laggy. I would like to slim down the device, get rid of the bloatware, increase the battery time (barely lasts a day with moderate use), get Google Now, and most importantly make it more responsive.
What is the recommended rooting procedure to get Jelly Bean or KitKat for this device and firmware version?
