Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I've searched and found lots of info, but nothing that seems to address my question directly.
I have a 32 GB Google Nexus 10 running Android 4.4.4. I have an ota version of 5.0.1 Lollipop waiting to be installed. My 10 is rooted and has ClockworkMod 6.0.4.3 recovery, but no custom ROM as yet. Can I directly run the install to 5.0.1 and preserve my rooted state and CWM, or should I go back to plain vanilla factory, install 5.0.1, and then reroot and install a new recovery app?
The change from Dalvik to ART also has me a bit worried and I wonder how widespread the effects will be.
For that matter, I seem to see a lot of people having problems with 5.0 and 5.1, but don't know what other mods or flash installs were being used or what their pre-update configs were, so I don't know if it is wise or not to simply upgrade my existing configuration, restore to factory first, or to ignore the upgrade and stay with KitKat.
Any advice?
