So i got this phone from ebay, seller advertised it had a unlocking code from us cellular they got from samsung directly, the code she sent me is 126097, im trying to use it with Telcel in Mexico City, i received the phone, put my sim but nothing prompted for me to insert any codes, i seen countless tutorials and in all phones a prompt comes to insert the code, but not in this case, all i get is an invalid sim message, so my question is where do i put the code? or is there a way to maybe install a rom from another company in the us and try to unlock that one? does it even work like that?
