Hello, I'm having a problem with the Wifi on my HTC Sensation not wanting to turn on. It says "turning on" for a minute or two, and then turns off and says "Error". I tried flashing different ROMs (Sense and non-Sense), none worked. I am currently on ARHD 7.3 with the SebastianFM kernel. I tried putting some extra contacts between the phone and the case, as well as bending slightly the antennas on the phones thinking it was an hardware issue, but nothing changed.
I also tried flashing the boot.img from the kernel directly with no luck.
So I decided to look at the logcat logs, and I found that whenever I try to turn on the Wifi on, it says:
So, could this be a software issue? Maybe it can't find the driver files and therefore it can't activate the Wifi antenna? This is the content of /system/etc/firmware:
I really don't know what to do anymore. I looked at a couple of threads with the same issue as mine and some people resolved it by copying the original driver file, but I thought they were overwritten at every ROM flash anyway?
I should also add that my carrier is Swisscom, although I doubt it has anything to do with the Wifi signal.
Thanks to everyone in advance.
