Having a very strange issue with my MOTO X 2nd Generation Verizon (XT1096) running lollypop 5.0 (Build Version: LXE22.46-11) (System version: 22.21.11.victara_verizon.verizon.en.US vzw) using an ADATA UD320 USB Flash drive "USB On-the-Go (OTG)". The problem I'm having is mounting the flash drive and having it stay mounted as soon a i try to access a picture on the drive via Gallery or google photos the drive unmounts. After three days of trying to correct this problem these are my findings.
Work Arounds:
1) Remove verizon sim card (Drive functions as normal)
2) Turn off Cellular Data (Drive functions as normal)
3) Turn on Cellular Data and connect to verizon network (Drive will not stay mounted)
4) Install a T mobile Sim (Drive functions as normal)
What I have Tried:
1) Tested flash drive in other devices Moto X gen 1 ....
2) Reformated drive fat32
3) Factory rest many times
4) Contacted Moto Care to report the problem
5) Contacted Verizon to report the problem
6) Added the mobile Hot Spot feature to my unlimited data plan
7) Pulled all my hair out
As strange as this all sounds I can duplicate these results over and over again with my device without fail. I'm at a complete loss now. Any suggestions or other ides to try are welcome.
