Wife has a Droid Mini on 4.2.2 which I rooted for her last year via JCase's PwnMyMoto. After several months of terrible battery life she has moved on to a Moto X so it's time to sell the mini. Problem is I can't get it to factory reset. The normal Backup & Reset/Factory data reset/ (reset/erase everything) will reboot the phone but nothing is reset. All data is intact.
I've gone into AP Fastboot and tried using Recovery but it only reboots normally, it doesn't drop me into the "triage" or "system recovery screen" screen. Tried "factory off the Fastboot screen and the same results.
I'm not terribly familiar with moto phones (took me forever to muddle through rooting the thing and avoiding OTA's last year) so if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.
