The L90 is a slick phone, and the phone feels much more secure in my hand with this case. 2 piece design, soft rubber inner, plastic outer with some sort of rubberized feel. Sorry, don't plan on dropping the phone, so I can't tell how it protects, but it's a pretty standard design. Kickstand works well, but a minor flaw is that it juts out a little to far when laying flat, so it wobbles a bit if laid on a flat surface to type or whatever. Not a deal breaker though. I selected this model because it has a beltclip (I don't like a phone in my pocket), and it works well. The other minor issue (others have mentioned) is the rubber lip that covers the micro USB charging port; it is a bit stiff, and I need two hands to plug the phone in, but it should less stiff as time goes by. I'd buy again, but if the manufacturer is reading this, try to redesign the kickstand piece so it allows the phone to lay on it's back without wobbling.

There isn't much to say about a phone case, beyond fit and finish. And both are remarkable, given the low price. The case grips tightly, and the rubber bezel around the screen doesn't get displaced like I've seen on other phones.
There are a few points to consider in a tie-breaker with a similar product. It does well standing horizontally, but won't go vertical. The charging and headphone port covers are difficult to open with one hand (while the cord is in the other); on the flip side, they're airtight when closed. And the power/volume/quick buttons don't stand out from the rest of the case, so you have to look for them or just guess -- they're flush with the the outer ribbing, and could use raised dots or other tactile feedback.
Even with these (decidedly minor) points, I've been using this item for a couple weeks and overall, I would definitely recommend the case for this price
