This review is for LG G3 , i got the case from amazon http://www.amazon.com/ASHIELD-Drop-P...rds=ashield+g3
For a large phone it takes up no more room on my belt than my dad S5. The swivel on the belt holder comes in handy.
Haven't dropped the phone yet (don't want to try!), The LG G3 (Verizon) fits perfectly in the case and the case
slides firmly into the belt holder. Just push up on the bottom of the phone and it comes out of the belt holder with just enough resistance to be safe. Will send back the more expensive case because this one does the job.
Doesn't add too much bulk or much weight to the phone.
First layer is a decent softer rubber, fits snuggly well after both layers are on. Had to fiddle with the rubber a small bit with both layers on, in order to have the rubber sit correctly on the edges, & or spots where the outer layer hugs the phone.
Rubber Edges at the top ear speaker and bottom handset mic pull away from the phone easily, even with the outer shell on. If you take the case off and on frequently, the rubber seems it could ware easily over time. Otherwise it has very good hand grip. Has a heightened edge over the phones screen.
The stand in back performs very well. It's sturdy, no trouble opening and closing it, doesn't seem it will become loose over time.
This stand only performs in landscape view. If your purchase includes a belt clip like mine did, the next bit is a review for that.
The beltclip is sturdy, seems to hold well, didn't have any issues there. Turns 90° left & right horizontally. The turning itself seems to have decent hold or stays put at position. The inside of the holder is all plastic, there is not a felt type face for the screen.
But the heightened edges of the phones case will protect the screen. You can only place the phone screen inward facing. It does hold the phone and it's case snuggly. While only being able to place the phone screen inward, it can slide into the holder ear piece first or mic first.
Pro
1 Good design with lower price
2 Double Layers combined provide protection
3 Bet clop holster
Con
1 the material is not as good as Otterbox
2 Holster is slim , i like otter box's holster better .
Summary
This is a rugged "little" case (ok it's huge but then again look at the phone it's for). It is a little difficult to make the stand click in place but it works a charm.
The holster was great while it lasted. A few days ago the clip broke off the holster so now it's pretty much useless.
Tip for those buying this case/holster - the LG G3 is a big phone, sticking this on your belt and getting in/out of a car is just begging for the holster to catch on something.
Other than that, would I recommend this case to someone- absolutely with the added note to be careful of catching the holster on anything.
If the holster hadn't broken - this would have been an easy 5 stars.
