[Q] How to change kernel topic

Hello there :D I'm started working on CM9 based rom for jena & jenad. But. There's irrigating white screen problem, due the kernel 3x . Can I use 2.6.38.6. Kernel on CM9 ? And how I can 'install' old kernel to cm9.
