I have a I747 that I am converting to TMobile. Actually, it's a T999 that I put a I747 motherboard in. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I guess I saved a few bucks versus a t999 mobo. This is NOT a I747M.
I unlocked the phone, no problem. The phone could make calls with a new tmo sim, no problem. But two issues remained: No Wifi Calling, which is necessary for sending MMS on wifi, and no 4G.
I read through the entire 1700 AWS threads, and figured out I 1. couldn't effectively make a one-size-fits-all phone, and 2. all I had to to get 4G was to set up fast.t-mobile. Okay, did that, and now the phone gets 4G LTE no problem. (We are in San Diego, so I don't think there is a lot of point to enabling 1700.)
But I have been utterly unable to load the TMobile ROM! I was able to use Odin 3.07 to root the phone, using
CF-Auto-Root-d2can-d2vl-sghi747m.tar, so Odin talks to the phone just fine. After doing this, SuperSU disabled Knox just fine. The phone is currently on 4.3.
But when I use T999UVUENC2_T999TMBENC2_T999UVUENC2_HOME.tar.md5 to load Tmobile 4.3, I get an SB12 error on the phone. Odin gives me this error:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> T999UVUENC2_T999TMBENC2_T999UVUENC2_HOME.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..

If anyone can help, I would be most appreciative. And if anyone can point me to a thread where this was already discussed, I would happily swallow my pride and Do Another F'ing Search.
P.S. I've really enjoyed reading y'all's commentary and getting to know my 'droid. It's a fun little phone, that's for sure. I now know a hell of a lot more than I did when I started.
P.P.S. I have a stock T999. Since it won't "do" 4G, can someone tell me what is the "4G" it IS getting? *#0011# shows UPCH, Band4 at the top.
